Tamerlane Amplifiers 112 Cabinet

This is a 1x12 cab made for me by Tamerlane Amps to go along with my Tamerlane Queen Jane amp (see my review of this wonderful amp). This cab is covered in macthing blue sparkle tolex and gold piping and it goes perfectly with my Queen Jane head. Very solidly built and it was equipped with a weber 50 watt blue dog 16ohm ceramic magnet speaker which sounds fantastic with my queen jane. I'll take one point off from features because it doesn't have two inputs but I'm sure one could be ordered with two. This cab is semi-open backed with just some small covers on the top and the bottom of the cab but the middle section is open.

This cab is great. The queen jane amp is Tamerlane's take on the vox-ac30. We all know that celestion alnico blue speakers are the best match for vox-style amps however, I wanted something with a bit more power rating than just 15 watts (which is all a celestion blue is good for) and I really wanted a 1x12 not a 2x12 cab because I gig enough that it's a real pain in the ass to lug around a 2x12. Well the weber blue dog sounds a lot like a celestion blue but has more power handling and sounds way tighter in the low end. The cab isn't light per se, but it is aboslutely rock solid and has a great low end and a silky, almost extended high-end that just complements the shimmering quality of the queen jane so well. Also this cab is really punchy sounding...a 2x12 probably has a bit more diffuse warmth but I like the push and punch of the 1x12 better.

Rock solid amp with thick wiring...should last a lifetime.

I honetly can't think of a company that offers better customer support than Tamerlane amps and the amp builder Gar. Absolute best!!!! If you're looking for that one-of-a-kind custom amp or cab then you GOT to give Gar a call...the BEST!!!
