This cabinet was made in 2007. This is one of the most versatile cabinets I have ever played. On the back, with the output jacks is a switch that lets you choose stereo/mono and either e/8/16 ohms. You can either run it as a 4x10 or choose to run just the top 2 10's or the the bottom 2 10's. They only think I wish this cabinet had were casters since it is so heavy.

This amp sounds fantastic. This is mainly due to the Weber speakers that came standard in the cab. Since you can choose either 2 ceramic or 2 alnico speakers you can choose if you want earlier or later break-up. I have used this cab for just about every style out there: blues, rock, jazz, country, ect.

Reliability : 10
This amp is build like a tank (it weighs close to the same as a tank too..close to 85 lbs.). I know if I have any problems, which I doubt I will, I can give Tamerlane a call and have it taken care of very quickly.

This is where Tamerlane shines. Gar, the owner of Tamerlane, has to have the best customer support of any guitar/amp company I have dealt with. He is by no means conceited (like some boutique amp builders). He is very willing to answer questions even if you email him for a month straight with a hundred questions. The best part is that he doesn't want to sell you something that you don't need. He is honest and truthful about everything he says. If I could I would give him a 12 as a rating for this. In my opinion, Tamerlane is the best boutique amp company out there.

I have and currently own 2 67 Fender Super Reverbs, a Dr. Z Z28, a Zinky (Supro) Tremolectric, a Tatoo Flash 18, and a Crate V15. All of these amps sound fantastic through this cab. There is not genre of music I can't cover with all these amps and this one cabinet. I look forward to owning my own Tamerlane amp in the very near future ( I can't decide which one yet). I would pick Tamerlane over any other amp manufacture today just because of his customer service, but on top of that he builds great products and stands behind them.

The cab has two ten inch alnico and two ten inch ceramamic speakers. They are webbers 10A125 and 12A125 speakers on top and the 10F150 and 10F150T on the bottom. It is wired to be impedance selectable between 4 and 16 ohms in mono operation and 8 ohms (per pair) in stereo operation. This allows me to audition just the ceramic speakers or just the alnico speakers. It is very solidy built and covered in snakeskin tolex with a black grill. It has a leather a handle and removable casters for transporting.

I am using this cab with the Circa 63 head but have used it with my 40 watt Aiken invader head and a Hodgge Ba Ba head ( ef 86 and 6v6's). It is airy and Lushous (very complex and full bodied), two of the webbers begin breaking up early and the other two breakup a little later. This really covers the full spectrum and allows it to get really loud with out getting mushy or boomy. I like its ability to be used as a 4 x 10 or two different indipendant 2 x 10's. The ceramics have a little more head room and a little more sparkle. It is at its best in the 4 x 10 mode (imho), I like classic rock and blues with a touch of rockabilly. This baby covers it with no sweat.

Have not had any problems, it is built like a tank (in more ways than one). The only draw back is it weighs in at 84 lbs and with the removeable casters it is a little top heavy. I am always carefull to have a real good hold on it when rolling it and always remove the casters when gigging. It is really the only points I can see deducting. It really is not a problem, and I think in the future I'll have a road case and won't rely on the casters (they will be backups for the rolling base of the road case).

Gar is outstanding in this department, it is a pleasure to do bussines with him. I could have the cab built any way I wanted it but I trust in his expetise and have always been happy with the products I've purchased. The cab was built around what I was looking for and at a resonable price. The experience was an education to top it all off.

I started playing in my Navy career (78) and am now retired and working as a fireman. I have begun to play more in the last 3 years and play with a band at the fire department. For me I respect what the founding blues cats did with what ever equipment they could get thier hands on. I really think it is about what is inside you and if your fingers and heart can't get it no equipment will get it for you. Having said that I like collecting equipment (tools of the trade) and swap a round often enough to keep my edge. If I get to comfortable it is time to shake things up. It is great to have a product built to last a life time by someone who is a world class craftsmen. I expect to be able to pass this on to my grandchildren.
