Tamerlane Amplifiers Custom 115 Cabinet

This is a cab that Garner (the owner of Tamerlane Amps) made for me to go with my Hodgee Ba Ba V2 Head. It is a custom 1x15 cab with a Weber Ceramic California 15 inch speaker in it (8ohms and 80 watts). It has wine tolex that matches my head perfectly and a wheat colored grill cloth. The cab is open back. It also has one input jack. It seems to be built very solidly and is not too heavy.

Sounds great with my custom Hodgee Ba Ba. This amp was voiced specifically for a cleaner response and with the cab's Weber California speaker it's a perfect match because the speaker is made for a clean loud tone. I have also plugged my mesa boogie combo into the cab and it made may combo sound ten times better...much more smooth and bass enriched. The cab also has plenty of high end even though the speaker is a 15 inch. It really matches the head perfectly for what I play (funk and jazz). This is the great part about Tamerlane amps...Gar specifically voiced the head for me and then made a cab to match the head perfectly. It took all the work out of me trying to find a cab that worked well with the head (and probably paying more too).

Too soon to tell but I'd say this cab is rock solid. Built just as well as antyhing I've seen out there and better than a lot of the crap that is out there.

Gar is a one man operation and that means the customer comes FIRST!! I have actually never experienced the level of customer support that Tamerlane amps gives. Gar is very helpful and informative and is easy to work with and seems to really care. That's a lot more than you'll get from pretty much any other company out there. Ever tried calling Fender or Marshall on the phone? You probably didn't actually speak to Mr. Fender or Mr. Marshall. My point being that with Tamerlane amps I can talk to the person who builds my amp and cab from scratch and work with him to get the tone I'm after. The customer support at Tamerlane is THE BEST!!!!!

Really great value. I got a custom made cab that exactly matches my head and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg. I can't explain how much of a great value Tamerlane amps and cabs are. I highly reccommend them to anyone looking for a vintage style tone without vintage prices. Beats out just about everything out there in terms of value and tone. Check out the website and listen to the soudclips for yourself...if you like what you hear email Gar about what you need and I guarentee you will find what you have been looking for all this time. I've played a lot of amps out there and owned and bunch of amps too (fender deluxe reverb, super reverb, matchless, Dr. Z, Carr, Marshall, Mesa Boogie, THD, Soldano, Vox, Victoria). Tamerlane amps and cabs are handmade and made specifically for you so I'd say they pretty much beat out any factory made amp and are priced a lot lower than any custom/boutique amp. You just can't go wrong!
