This is a new Flash 18 combo I stumbled upon while scanning the web. Its a nice little package, lightweight and doesnt have 10 million bells and whistles but, thats a good thing in my book. Its controls are, two inputs, preamp gain, master volume, treble, bass, midrange, presence, resonance and slope. The last two knobs help to dial in your bass and midrange tones and are an excellent addition to the circuit. No effects loop, no reverb, which I personally dont need. It also has 4 speaker outs, two for 8 ohms, one for 4 ohm and one 16 ohm. No impedance selector and that means, no lost parts or a switch to go bad to blow your OT. The amp doesnt have alot of "modern" features but what it does have works very well.

I have a Les Paul with EMGs, Fender Strat with Texas Specials as well as an Ibanez RG 770 with EMGs and Gibson V equipped with EMGs. I'm a classic rock type of player but I also like to dabble in heavier tones as well the blues and this amp will do that without a problem.I'm also a weekend warrior so this amp wasnt purchased to simply wank off at home. Very quiet sitting idle, no hum, it just sits and waits for you to smack it than it does its thing. First I tried a my Les Paul and was impressed with the sound from the first note. Crossroads by Cream was the first thing that I started noodling on and that led to some Blackfoot, Pat Travers and it cops a killer AC/DC Highway To Hell sound. I was even able to coax out some Maiden with the addition of my Fulldrive. Next up was the Strat and the Jimi, SRV tones are there with a little tweak of the guitars volume knob the amp cleans up nice. The amp came equipped with a Greenback and though not a bad sounding speaker, I will be dropping in a V30. I also ran this through a Marshall JCM 800 2x12 cab with V30s and the sound is just amazing! This is a great sounding amp and I can see having lots of fun with it in the future. I took it to rehersal tonight and it did just fine keeping up with the band. Geez, another 10 you say? Why not? Its great for what it is, a take on the Marshall 18 watt combo but with a few twists added for the better.

Man I hate using the word built like a tank but, it is. I had to pop the chassis out of curiousity and the workmanship is top notch. Soldering is very neat and the parts used are some of the best. Theres attention to detail and everything is soldered to a heavy duty turret board. I would gig without a backup but would take spare tubes and fuses just in case. If the amp ever needed servicing it would be very easy to work on. The cabinet and cosmetics also look very nice and the work is well done. No particle board or MDF here like I have seen other builders use and their amps were twice the cost.

Tommy is great to deal with. Answered all emails promptly and I believe he would take care of a problem if one came up. I dont see that happening though. I would give my business to Tommy again in a minute and we have been discussing plans for another amp. I just have to decide exactly what I want and what I should sell to pay for it!! Cant go wrong and Tommy could probably build you any type of amp you can think of.

Been playing 20+ years and have loved almost every minute of it. As all the cliches go, I've owned quite a few different amps so I have an idea what good tone should be and the Tatoo Flash has what it takes. The only other amps I own are a few Marshalls and cant see owning anything else except for something from Tommy. If it were lost or stolen I'd order another. It sounds great, portable and just alot of fun to play through. Its amazing how something this small can put out so much sound. I searched the web for a few days before emailing Tommy and going with his amp. There is alot to choose from out here and thats a good thing but can also be a pain. There are some mega expensive amps out here that probably couldnt touch Tommys amps in tone and certainly not the price. Thanks for such a fine amp Tommy!
