1969 Teisco Checkmate 15. Normal and Reverb chanels, both rely on the same volume and tone controls (low mid & high). Reverb and Tremolo. Though on this one the Trem does not work.
I play American styles. Country, rock, blues, and jazz. Typical guitar stuff. I only use an overdrive pedal and wah for fun. use it for recording or as my living room practice amp.

This amp does not react badly to effects, loves them actually. Driving the preamp hard with a boosted clean signal makes for some fun grit.
EL84s and one single 10 inch alnico speaker. Not too loud.
I'd say this amp is a poor mans Vox ac15 wannabe. Telecasters are my ax of choice and this amp makes 'em snap, pop and twang.

I found this baby by the side of the road in a trash heap. I replaced the fuse and it's not squaked at me yet. Not bad for trash!

Teisco does not exist anymore. I'd say that despite that, they get a thumbs up in my book since this old peice needs no work at this time (I don't care about the tremolo or dead lightbulb).

I've been playing guitar for 30 years. This is one of my most fun finds. I would cry if I lost it and wouldnt know where to go to get another. I love that it was free, I love that it gets some lower volumer Vox tones, I love that it is a great little practice amp that is useful in the studio.
