Made in the 1970s, this unassuming little combo amp rocks!! I play blues, rockabilly and surf...perfect for those practices, recordings and small venues! 3 channels, reverb (not bad at all) and tremelo with on/off dial switch. Great tone at a LOW volume. A dirty, funky, low down, off-brand trashy little solid state amp and yes , I know, solid state amp are not supposed to sound this good!

Sound Quality : 10
I am using a Gibson '69 ES335 and new Italia Modello surf guitars.
Yes it is a little bit noisy in places, and needs some pots replaced, but that is normal for an amp this age. I played it wide open last night on the Gibson 335 and it had the perfect breakup and sustain when played hard. Roll the volume on the guitar down to 8 and it cleans up nicely for rhythm playing. I wish I had this little amp about 15 years ago!

Reliability : 6
It needs work as it is cheap and old....I wouldn't take it giging unless it was serviced. BUT being a solid state amp it could take a few punches and not be fazed.

I have only seen this little combo amp twice in my 46 years!

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing thirty years, owned blackface Fender twin and blackface deluxe reverb and new Epiphone Galaxy 10 (nice little tubeamp by the way)....this was a rare find! I'd buy one again if lost. I love the way it is not flashy, el cheapo, but sounds great!
I love the reverb and tremelo and the way it sounds like a old 1950 raw-ass rock and roll recording...lots of character without having to blast down the doors. I found it on Ebay...it aint no brand name, if you see one get it.....what's $40??

This is a tiny solid state combo amp with reverb, trem, volume and tone and a 6 or 8 inch speaker. It is probably from the 60s an is a great practice amp.

Sound Quality : 9
For a little piece of crap I found in the garbage it actually sounds really good. The reverb is very deep and mixed with the tremelo you can get a very spooky voodoo vibe. If you play it dry it sounds decent too. Turning it up all the way doesnt distort it, but it gets pretty loud, only for practice levels though.

Reliability : 7
I am not sure. I found it sitting in the bottom of a dumpster along with a gibson amp and I plugged it in right away. I did make a 7 hour trip with it in the trunk once and when I took it out it sounded bizarre but a few wacks to it cleared it up.

HAs anyone ever heard of tempo? I saw this same model only one other time at a local guitar store for $15.

Overall Rating : 8
If it were lost or stolen I wouldnt be too upset, but Its a great sounding little bed room amp. I actually like the sound of it better than my music man. I imagine it would be great for recording. If you find one in the dumpster, its worth digging out.
