Alot of 1/2 end cut offs. A XLR controllable D/I that is super clean.

Sound Quality : 8
I have an unbelievable number of guitars that all sound fairly well throught this amp. None of them perfectly suit the style I'm doing with this amp but it seems none ever do. It is by far one of the least noisy amps I've used. It's got the warm clean or ss clean covered. I haven't played a finer amp at low gain but I think it lacks some balls in the high gain high volume field. I've tried it through 2 JCM 900 cabs and 2 5150 cabs and found no difference. The gain is still weak. If you're not shooting for the solid state high gain sound then this is the best amp I've found. If you need balls, crunch, gain, heavy tone, I recommend Krank or Mesa.

Reliability : 10
God couldn't destroy this amp.

Never needed it.

As long as you're not doing death metal or something, or even if you have like an outboard tube screamer, this amp is the shit. I traded a peavey xxx satriani model in on it and am not disappointed at all. It is a little glassy after new tubes burn in but overall no one else tube can touch it.

Produced late eighties I think. Extremely versatile. Two channels with individual levels for gain and seperate EQ. Channel switching and effects loop. Reverb would be nice, but they make pedals for that. It can get extremely loud. Will blow away any 100 watt or less tube amp. It does have eight 12AX7 preamp tubes with a solid state power amp that rivals any tube amp. 160 stadium filling watts.

Sound Quality : 10
You wnat Marshall, you want Mesa? You got it. Suitable for all types of music from jazz to metal. Very quiet for this level of power. Clean channel is excellent as is the infinitely adjustable levels of distortion.

Reliability : 10
Totally gig worthy. I have had it apart and it is rock solid. I don't know if Gibson will still support it or not. I am sure schematics are available.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Who knows? Never needed it fixed.

Overall Rating : 10
Get one if you can find one and hold on to it for dear life. Blows away any of the current Marshall junk out there today for twice the price.

Amp Rules. 80 watts BiAmped. Better than Marshall. 2 Channels, FX Loop, No Reverb (wish it had it, but it doesn't).
I play stuff that most resembles Nirvana and The Ramones.

Sound Quality : 10
I currently play a Squier Jagmaster with Duncans in it. (Don't laugh at Squier, if anyone should be laughing it should be me laughing at you for blowing your cash on a "real" Fender). I have played guitars with P-90's through this thing, it will tear your face off.
Clean is good, I WILL NOT TURN THIS AMP UP LOUD ENOUGH FOR THE CLEAN CHANNEL TO DISTORT, I VALUE MY HEARING. Distortion channel rules as previously stated. Better than Marshall and not the "sounds the same as everyone else Mesa tone."

Reliability : 10
This amp is atleast 10 years old I think. I have had it for about 2 years. I know who the previous owner was. Never a problem with amp. Would gig without a backup.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I have been trying to get a manual for it to no avail so this is somewhat annoying. Other than that, have not needed cs.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing for about 10 years. I have owned Fender amps, Marshall amps, Ampeg amps, and an old Kustom amp. This one has the best distortion. Those other amps are good, but for my purpose, this amp is the best. I would try to find another one if this one was stolen. It is a little bit heavy (as in weight) but it's worth it, you can rock and build up arm strength! Only complaint, no reverb. If anyone knows where I can get an owners manual, please contact me.

dual 80 watts, all tube, sounds really sweet, and it's kinda heavy. The real pisser about this amp is that it doesn't have reverb.... sweet effects loop, direct recording output, footswitchable channel, gain settings, effects loop, and something else, i can't remember right now. it is really loud, i piss off my neighbors i'm sure, umm..... treble mid and bass for both channels.

Sound Quality : 10
it sounds fucking awesome, i'm having a seynour duncan jb jr put in my strat next week, it's fucking noisy with the single coils, but they are single coils aren't they? i haven't ever turned it up loud enough to try to distort the clean channel, i probably NEVER want to, the distortion on this amp is really great, i play classic rock to blues to megadeth

Reliability : 8
well, i haven't really had it long enough yet, haven't had a problem with it yet, i probably wouldn't gig without a backup, you know, what if it does break, but i really don't think it will, just don't drop it or anything, but if you do drop it, it prolly wouldn't make a fucking difference because it kicks ass

Customer Support : No Opinion
umm.... what?

Overall Rating : 9
sweet amp, sweet sound, sweet features except for the reverb, overall sweet amp... i chose this over a marshall... cause... well... you know.... it KICKS ASS... plus the marshall was more $$$ and did i mention it KICKS ASS??????
