My Trace was hand-made in the UK featuring 2 main channels
the first channel (clean) has a bild-in "bright" switch to make the sound more sparkly
the second channel varies between a slight overdriven sound till way over the edge distortion -special features: preamp style on/off seperate level and distortion buttons
only negative point here: you don't have a seperate reverb button

See other reviews - lots. Twin MV is especially good.

Love/Hate here - I find myself loving this amp, then I play my old JCM800 Marshall and it makes the Trace sound dull and strangled by comparison. I have made a few tweaks to open the sound but overall the Marshall does sound better - other people who don't care about the quality and features say so. Hmm

Perfect. Almost.
The only bug I have found on the Mark 2 is that the 5 way footswitch occasionally gets a bit fonfused - this has lead to "step on the MV2 switch for a volume boost for a solo and "QUIET"". Minor bug but big problem - thankfully very rare.

I had a couple of queries about this when new and Paul Stephens, the designer gave me the Factory Tour and checked it over for me. Once when I blew an IC (my fault) two days before a rehersal the factory just popped a couple into the post for me. Excellent.

Great build quality. Great support. Better than great features. Just wish it sounded a bit more lively.
