and 4x12 Cabinet.

*A clean channel, and an overdrive channel with gain boost. (footswitchable)
*Series effects loop. (Doesn't have a parallel loop or line out)
*The speaker impedance can be from 4-16 ohms so that's pretty useful
*Reverb, master volume, and master volume boost (foot switchable)
Didn't actually come with a footswitch though.
The cabinet is rather heavy, but that's to be expected. 33kg I think.

I'm using a strat copy guitar straight into the amp. Clean channel breaks up nicely if the channel volume is past halfway. With the channel volume on full, it sounds like an overdrive. I can get a great blues sound with my middle pickup selected. The treble control doesn't seem to have much effect from the 7 to 11 o'clock positions.
The overdrive channel is very usable. At medium gain with the middle pickup position, I can get a nice rhythm sound. At higher gain, I can get a 60's rock lead sound.
With the gain boost on, the amp starts to sound like the Sepultura distortion in the Roots album. At louder volumes, I find it's better to have middle and treble settings a bit below halfway because it gets too "waspy"?. The palm mute is pretty chunky, but I haven't been able to get a Pantera palm mute sound.
The reverb is a 3 spring reverb and sounds like a bright hall reverb. It's nice to use subtly. For rhythm, the sound becomes a bit muddy at higher reverb settings ( I guess that's expected with reverb ).

It's only been a month and there haven't been any problems.
The vinyl covering has been scratched off a bit on one side of the cabinet. I don't know how it happened, so I'm not sure about the durability of the covering. Maybe it was a papercut, maybe it was mauled by wolves, umm when I wasn't paying attention. The rest looks like it will stay on.
It was recommended to me to change the tube every 4 years. Hopefully the tube doesn't die before then.
The head doesn't seem to get hot after playing for 2 hours.

The warranty is for 1 year which is good enough. The store I bought it from has friendly and helpful staff and I can get the amp serviced there.

I've been playing guitar as a hobby since the end of 1996. I also own a GFX-8 which I haven't been using much since I bought this amp.
If it were stolen or lost, I dunno what I would do. They seem pretty rare nowadays. I bought it because it was on special and sounded nice. I suppose I might look at something lighter to carry around.
The thing I like most about the amp is the slightly breaking up clean sound.

Just picked the amp up bout 4 months ago and it is well suited for just about everything. Basic amp controls while the third channel is reallly cool. I play blues and am currently studing jazz at university. This amp is awesome for any situation.

I play a limited edition G&L ASAT junior as well as a very modified charvel. The G&L sounds so good through this amp you wanna cry. I originaly intended on buying a marshall jcm900 but this blew it out of the water. Clean channel is fabulous, along the lines of a fender twin just sweeter, doesn't distort at high volumes which is very nice. The dirty channel is even better, it's got the whole marshall sound and sustain with the british attitude. very cool. You can easily get a nice Bluesbreaker sound ala Clapton or switch right to some sweet jimmy page and through on a strat and you can get the jimi sound. VERY COOL AMP.

No problems yet. But time will tell. I'd imagine if you take care of it she should last. Don't have as many tubes to fuss about either.

I played this head through the Supertramp cabinet. This is an older head and cabinet. It is green, while the new ones are black. I think the new ones have a tube in them and the old ones don't. I'm not sure. I played this amp for about three hours. I was the only one in the music store. I like the clean, it's nice. The distortion was good also. It sounded clean and smooth. The distortion just wasn't heavy enough for me. If it had been heavier, I would have bought it.

Like I said, it was an older model. If the new models sound heavier, Then I would buy one.
