Very dependable, very few issues with static when using volume/gain controls, mostly likely pots need to be cleaned due to some age, but otherwise very sturdy, reliable amp

When I bought these, there were not as many choices for acoustic amps as there are now. I compared to the SWR Cali Blonde, Crate, and Peavy acoustic amps at the time, with the Trace being a clear winner, second choice would have been SWR

Clear, articulate, accurate reproduction of amplified accoustic sounds. Used with a Fishman system on a Guild F4CE, sounds wonderful. Used with a DeArmond M70 it doesn't sound too satisfying. This is not designed to be used as an electric guitar amp.

This amp has all the features that any acoustic guitar player should ever need. If it doesn't have it, you might think about an electric geeter there buddy. 100w, 2x5"speakers and 1x12"

Excellent sound. I had no idea that an acoustic amp could sound so huge and clean at the same time. Whatever sound you need, this sucka can do it. LOUD AS A MOFO

I bought this amp used and it must be pretty old because it is busted up looking and dust flew out of the speakers when i turned it on, but it worked perfectly.

I've heard a lot of different acoustic amps and I like this one the best. SWR california blonde does come in a really close second because it is pretty much the shit too. I had a fender acoustasonic and it was good, but it didn't compare to the trace. Now, if you do find this particular amp you should buy it. Trace doesn't make this amp like this anymore. The 2x5"speaker X 1x12" speaker configuration is no more. I think gibson must have changed that for some reason when they bought trace elliot. Why i surely don't know, i personally think they're crazy. BASS baby. As for chorus as many people seem to complain and bitch about, suck it up and play. It's an acoustic guitar. If you need all that crap get an electric.

Great array of features. Two inputs (line and mic) and a barrage of effects including everything from 16 digital presets to a bright switch that's designed to clean up and clarify string response. It's got an effects loop that I haven't tried yet, along with a 5-band EQ that handles both channels. Separate EQ's would be nice, but I never use the mic channel anyway, so no probs there. Only thing it's missing is built in chorus, but my Dano Cool Cat handles that with ease.

I use a Guild DCE-1 A/E through it and it sounds like an orchestra. The depth is unbelievable. It has 1 12" down low and a pair of 5"'s up top. Very little noise whatsoever, though I do get some static through the lineout on post-EQ for some reason. I think that's just b/c it's got some dirty contacts somewhere. The digital presets are great...everything from plate reverb to digital delay, and four different settings in each category.

I've gigged it once and played it a home a lot, and thus far I'd have to say it's pretty damn reliable. Trace builds 'em like tanks, and this one is no exception. Don't get it if you have back problems cuz I think it weighs in at about 2 tons...it's damn heavy for an amp of its size, anyway.

They're great. I got superb support from a guy in their tech support dept before I even bought the amp. He was super helpful in helping me identify the model since Trace doesn't seem to like to put that anywhere, and also the value. He also said that they stock parts for all their amps, even the discontinued one, and were happy to service anything that needed it. Sounded good to me.

I bought this thing used at a pawnshop and they didn't know what it was, so I pretty much stole it from them at that price. Oh well..somebody shoulda done the research I did.
I play mostly bluegrass, southern rock, and irish stuff, all clean channel, and I would recommend this amp to anyone. The sound is phenomenal, it's built tougher than Chinese arithmetic, and it has great features right out of the box. I used to play a Peavey Ecoustic 112, and this thing spanks it in all respects. I wish it had built-in chorus, but thta's it.

I use a Hamer Duo-Tone and split the signal between the Trace and a Line6 AxSys 212. Sometimes I just go through the Trace and sometimes I play through both amps. Using the Piezo on the Hamer, it sounds beatiful. Wonderful ringing bell-like tones. No mud. Low end comes through with definition. I have received compliments, but most people think that it's the guitar that sounds so good. It's both! But I am certain that the Hamer wouldn't sound near as good through a P.A. or another amp.

Yes, I'd buy it again. Very thankful that I found it used for a bargain price. I played through the Peavey Ecoustic...nice, but not close to the Trace. Extremely versatile. Expensive new, but worth it.

KEEP IN MIND YOU WILL NEVER FIND IT FOR THIS PRICE. BESt deal I have ever seen! 16-Bit Reverb is good, but not unbelievable. It is better then no effects plus you have 16 different delays, slapback, hall etc. Very ACOUSTIC amp. The best in the world and believe me, I did the research. I use a Gibson Chet Atkins SST and can get an incredible electric sound also out of this amp. this is because it has the multiple pickups. It has, Active and Piezo Low-Z and High-Z(?). Phantom Power and unbelieveable Notchfilter to remove any chance of feedback. The 5-Band Eq rules! I wish it had Chorus! It is heavy but they have an ingeniuos way of designing it to be easy to carry. 2X5" on top of 1X12" This amp will fill any room with incredible ease-no feedback either!

PERFECT for acoustic musicians, you will not find anything better except for maybe a crest poweramp and $6000 wave force speaker. NO background noise either. Probably the best in the world. I have have turned all settings to full power etc. and you have to put you're head on the speaker to here anything. NEVER NOISY. The sound actually may improve as you get louder. It never distorts. The piezo(acoustic pickup rules) and the active helps me out when I need electric tone.
