I have used this amp for practice, gigging and recording, As well as a one man P.A. for small stuff, The mixing feature between the two channels is an excellent little idea

Beautiful rich warm acoustic tone with a nice reverb, although I don't tend to use the chorus- it's a bit overpowering

Been playing 10 years & own an old wem dominator, One bad point about TA70CR, it seems to weigh a ton for quite a small amp

Okay, This is the Best Part, I had my TA70CR Stacked on my Marshall 1/2 Stack Cabinet, I walked by & Knocked it off and it landed on the Concrete, (((OUCH)))), I thought it was Toast, But, To my surprise, I dusted it off & plugged it back in, It worked Great !! I thought , "No Way could an amp stand such a Jolt" !! It's Built like a Sherman Tank !

Not sure when the amp was made--bought it used. According to the music shop, it used to belong to Ricky Skaggs' steel pedal player. I play acoustic/electric funk, rock, blues, and occasional punk. The amp is quite versatile, plenty loud to be heard above a full band (drums, bass, lead electric). Two channels, effects loop, line out, no headphone jack. Second channel works well with vocals or other instruments. The CR in TA60CR is for "chorus" and "reverb". The reverb is warm and natural sounding. The chorus is usable, but I prefer the chorus on my Zoom GFX-707 processor. The amp handles a wide variety of effects unless heavy distortion is used, when it becomes highly prone to feedback. I use this amp to practice and gig out. For practice, it's plenty loud. For gigs, the line out is sufficient, and the amp works well as a stage monitor.

I play an Ovation Celebrity Deluxe and get great sound with guitar and amp alone or through a Zoom GFX-707 effects processor. Feedback is usually correctable through the notch filter. The amp is pretty quiet, has a very nice low and mid-range. A little too shrill on the highs for my taste, but this could my lack of experience with the EQ. NO distortion at high volumes, but feedback more likely. For pure acoustic tone, I've not heard anything better in this price range.

Amp is solid and dependable. I would definitely use without backup. Have only the had the amp for two months, so I can't comment on breakdowns and service.

I've been playing guitar for 8 years, 2 years semi-pro. I owned the TA-40R and upgraded to the TA70CR for the extra power and chorus. I would replace this if stolen, maybe with a TA100 someday. I love the amps sound, versatility, and durability. I would like to have more control over feedback than just the notch filter and volume correction. I tried the California Blonde, the Fender Acoustasonic SFX, and Crates, and thought the Trace-Elliot was the best for my needs and my budget.

Great Effects. Excellent Stero Chorus and Spring Reverb. I've used it not only for my 12 stirng , but my Bob Weir Ibanez Electric also. This has got to be the most bullet proof amp I've ever played.

No competition. Roland has great effects, but lots of hiss compared to the TA70CR. Marshal and Crate are in the same boat. Some good features, but not in the same class.
