I play jazz, rock, and even plug my peizo-electrified Ramirez into this to play weddings and other such gigs on the clean channel. It sounds great and with the twin loudspeakers really carries without any feedback problems. You have nice options with the tube preamp and solid state main amp and twin channels which can be played individually or mixed in various ways. I love this thing and can't believe I don't see more of them.

The overdrive is pretty sweet and phat sounding with a good electric. I put my Strat and vintage Les Paul through it to get some good warm tones or crisp kicking chords. I also put an FX box through it and its all you need. The greatest thing about it is the power and quality combination. It is not for extremely small settings, as it does background buzz sometimes worse than other amps.

Never had a problem, and its been tossed around in my old Civic hatchback quite a bit.

Never needed to contact the company. Apparently they were bought out by Gibson?

It's a fantastic amp with a lovely warm tone on channel 2 switch.
Also incredibly heavy...but I wouldn't part with it!

I have been playing guitar for 30 years and this is the best amp I have owned and I did have A Vox AC60 that did not compete.

Made in 1993 (there's a sticker near the valves). 2 channels, effects loop, DI output.
It has almost everything EXEPT reverb.
It is also damn heavy, but bloody loud.

I use a mex telecaster with a Rio Grande humbucker in the bridge.
The clean is absolutly crysal. I was absolutly astounded by it.
I use it for all sorts of music (mostly blues), it seems to do the job for most
The distortion can ive you a lot of sustain should you want it.

I can't beleive i got this amp so cheaply. I hagged down from #300 to #250 as the shop were making me wait for a pickup and nobody wanted it because it it's weight.
It's everything i've ever wanted from an amp - all tube, versitile and a clean that's cleaner than a nun's underwear.
As i went into the shop i was looking at a line6 spider 2. I tried it after i tried this and there's no comparison (why get a tube modelling amp when you can have and all-tube)?
BUT! You do need to buy a reverb unit (unless you're Brian May)

It has 2 channels, clean and overdrive. It has an effect loop and equipeed with 2 Celestion Vintage 30s Speakers. You can get very nice american and classic british tone out of it...very versatile indeed. It is damn heavy due to the solid construction and the 12 AX7 pre-amp tubes.

The tone is awesome, no wonder Gibson would buy the Trace Elliot company under his name. It even has a boost for infinity distortion to get the heavy distortion metal sound. The clean channels is damn crispy clean. Its just fanastic to have a versatile tone from bright clean sound to heavy metal distortion!!!

This amp builds like tank, u can be sure to gig without a backup with this amp. I have used it for 5 years and never need any service. The amp never fails me even with my brutal handling of it.

Well I have no problems with the amp, so no need for customer support. Trace Elliot has a reputation of solid construction amps that last for your whole life, and plus this amp is no longer in production.

I have been playing guitar for 5 years. This Trace Elliot is the only real amp that i would consider reliable. The others just fails miserably, maybe due to my heavy involvment in gigs...

2 channels with individual gain controls, gain range, bass, mid, treb, presence and output. Voicing for American and British tone. Effects loop with Dry and Effects Level, Master Volume. Equipped with two Celestion Vintage 30s. 12 AX7 pre-amp tubes. Lineout and Footswitch. Since this is a studio combo, no reverb control. Good for live situations with or without a reverb stompbox. Definitely powerful enough for most gigs in clubs.

Sounds good with both single-coil and humbucking guitars (obviously settings must be altered a little). It is a great rockin' amp and for blues also. Has a good tone for acoustic guitars as well. Has a good variety of sounds from soft and mellow to screaming. The clean channel (Channel One) has a gain control. A setting of 4 on the Gain with the control on Medium emits a good strong clean tone. Higher setting distort the clean channel. The overdrive channel (Channel Two) has a setting for High and Infinity Distortion. Offers everything from a overdrive to an ultra-heavy, high gain distortion.

The Trace is a very reliable amp. I used for a good year without a problem before picking up my JCM 900. You could definitely play a show without a backup. The amp has never broken down or blown a preamp tube. Also, the Celestion speakers have never had a problem. Every piece on the amp is original

I have been playing for about three to four years. The Trace was my first real amp that I have owned about two years. I think for a studio combo as well as a live amp, the TVT9 does a very respectable. The only problem is no reverb, but naturally since it is a studio amp, no reverb. Overall, a great amp
