I'm a single coil fan,i like ccr,pink floyd,and thos disco strat tone.
strat owner i love the way that amp sound to the bone!It sound clean like those western movie's.And if you find the right distortion, over drive or what ever pedal you personelly like, wach out!

Reliability : 7
It was broken all ready when i get it for free in a pawn shop i know,it cost me 150$ to change all the tube socket's for ceramique one's instead!Since,it's the best amp i ever played with!

Customer Support : 1
It's a bit tricky with those old amp's,traynor get baught by yorkville
and they don't give a shit about those old traynor thing's,they will suggest you to by a yorkville electro-plastc-tone so...
I had to run all over the town to find those ax7's ceramik socket's

Overall Rating : 10
i'm 37 year's old i play guitar,bass since i was 6-7 year's old.

I`m using a `62 reissue Strat. It`s all a guy needs to get the tones that count,,,Just ask Jimi!! This ampneeded a volume boost when I got it, but with a 12at7 in the first preamp position, and 12ax7lps Sovtek in the second, This is a nice sounding amp with just enough breakup for what I play, which is blues and normal rock an` roll, I have bin a player for thirty odd years now, so tone is ecerything, and this amp is a nice surprise, sweet, but not too harsh. All point to point wiring, and with the addition of a Vintage 30 speaker,, perfeect for small rooms.

Reliability : 10
Got to be tough as nails. I grew up with Traynor amps as a kid in Toronto, and have never had one fail on me,, so I don`t expect this one to give any trouble.

Customer Support : No Opinion
none

I also use a Reissue Bassman, and often A B the two together, because they sound so much different,, the Traynor sounds very Voxy to my ears. It is a great adition to any backline, and the prices are starting to rise on these as players realize how good these amps are.

no solid idea of when i was made, late 60's as far as i know (around 65-67 i think) has vlume treble bass and vibrato, also a treble boost which beefs it upa bit.
it's 20 watts (i think) class A amp witha sealed back and 12" speaker.
Versatile??? not really, i can get some great blues tones ouut of it but that is about it, when i really crank it ic an get rock sounds, but it's kind of fickle about how load i play it!

Sound Quality : 8
I use so many guitars with it, that it doesn't say much tom ention, mostly humbucker equipped, though Iuse split coil sounds a lot.
as i said before, great blues tones, really responsive but kinda limited... I bought it for blus tones and it works for me! also sounds great with my bass (bartolini pickups)
(rating is for blues sounds and bass)

Reliability : 8
TRaynors are famous for their reliability, they refuse to die... just keep the tubes okay and don't blow the speaker! I am also slooking at a mark 4 just because I like them (and htey cost nothing comapred to a 70's twin!)
This thing is a little old, and since i bought it usecd can use some work, but i think it might outlive me!

Customer Support : No Opinion
Dead and gone, owned by yorkville sound which releases their "guiar mate" solid stater... blah

Overall Rating : 8
I overpaid i'll admit, but it is a great little amp and sounds almost exactly like my old ampeg jet original (which blew up) so I think it was a good deal, aslo makes a great abss amp with my marshall 4-10 bass cab!
anyone else have an original guitar mate model (no reverb)
