This is one head that really cuts out the crap. None of this crazy effect loop stuff that you would need NASA training to figure out and there are three out jacks on the back of the head (2 for running into your cabs and a line out jack) and get this, there is a built in speaker wich must be running at a billion ohms because it is not very loud. I think it is put there so you can play it at 2:00 AM without having 100 cops at your door. The only reason I rated this head an 8 is becouse there is no reverb (play for a week without reverb, if your amp is good, you will not need sound unstabling reverb) and no there is no imput jack for a reverb box (personally I do not miss it).Oh by the way, the head is only one channel and it is mono.
Sound Quality

The only reason that I give this a 8 is becouse the distortion is a joke but a BOSS HM-3 fixes ALL problems (see my reveiw). This is a VERY LOUD LOUD LOUD amp wich blows them little combo amps apart (litteraly if close enough). The variaty of this head is unreal, ranging from the twangest of country sounds to the cleanest of clean sounds to the most thundering of thunderest metal (use a boss pedal) that would put any Marshal or Peavy combo to shame and GET THIS, this head is a SOLID STATE HEAD (take that you tube morons) and this amp will compare very well with moderen heads (better than most in my opinion). The reason for the versitility in this head is besides the baisic low, mid, and high set up (on most amps, that is all you have, possibly a presense knob but thats it) there are four frequency knobs wich is rare on guitar amps (400, 800, 1600, and 3200 htz) so you can shape your sound instead of adjusting levels on a already preshaped sound like on most amps I've seen. I'm running this head into two traynor cabs with (get this) a 9 by 8 speaker configuration (yes that is 18 8 inch speakers, 19 if you include the speaker in the head) wich sounds really thick (closed back cabs) and really BIG. This is where reverb would destroy your sound becouse it severly thins your sound thus making it very unstable. Over all this head is anything you want it to be sound wise (minus reverb) and it will rock your world (if you want it to) and it will do this WITHOUT DISTORTING AT INSANE VOLUME LEVELS (I have no idea if there would be distortion at say 80% becouse when I tried to find out one day, my ears hurt for several days afterwards and I only got up to 60%). That is the volume on 6 out of 10 and unlike a lot of amps that is shoving 80% power at say 2, you put the volume on 5, you get 50% you put the volume on 8, you get 80%. To find out all of this, I just turned my guitar volume on 2 and brought the volume on the head from 0 to 100% and it was a very even volume curve. To sum this up, the head is insanely loud and very very very versatile, enough said (thank god).

The guy who built these amps would test the amps by dropping them from 2 storys high and if they still worked, the model would go into production. How can you have trouble with the gear.
Customer Support
:
No Opinion
I doubt if the Traynor company would even need the staff becouse my gear has seen hell and beyond and I never had a hitch with any of it.

This head is everything I will ever want in a head and more than I will ever need in sound and volume so if you like simple to use equipment wich will shut up them little combo amps, this is the head to get.
