This is a Traynor TS- 50 from 1982 give or take a year. It has one channel with a normal and low input which can be used at the same time. Has your standard tone knobs with reverb and a line out. Also as a bright switch and a boost switch for the normal input. It is a great solid state amp. Very heavy and the speaker is nice. The reverb is Accutronics, and sounds great for what it is. I'm not really a features crazy person, any can't really think of anymore you would need than what this amp gives you.

Sound Quality : 9
The amp is very loud! The amp sounds really dark, which I personally like and contains a ton of bass, which I also like. It really does well with pedals and when playing clean sounds full and chunky, even with single coils. The distortion on it is fuzzy, as it is solid state, but it is much different than your average distortion. Has some rawness to it and it is a little grainy in a good way. I would never use it as my primary distortion, but it is a nice sound to have at my fingertips. I can't complain about the reverb, but I'm sure many would not be satisfied with it. As a solid state amp for primarily clean playing, I haven't found anything which I would rather have than this.

Reliability : 10
It's survived since the early '80s and has it's tears and beer can stains, but still functions great. The only thing is that the knobs crackls and the reverb messes up at 10, but works at 9 1/2, so it doesn't make a difference. I've used it live at church and at gigs and never had a problem. The only thing is when I've used it in gyms, it sounds so much different and needs some eq'ing, but you can't blame that on the amp.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Traynor is a great company with an unbeatable warranty on their new products, but I've never contacted them for anything.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for 4 years and play through a Fender MIM Satin Strat and a Synsonics Strat. If it were stolen I would be stinkin' angry at the man who did it and would look for another one. I love it because it's old and has character, and sounds very warm for a solid state amp. It's cheap and I couldn't ask for more in this type of amp. If it were a tube amp I would be very dissapointed, but it performs perfectly for what it is.

Late 70's amp. The amp sound as is, not many options. It has a Gain Volume and a Master, Middle, Bass, Treble and Reverb as well. The Reverb is an Accutronics. It's a Solid State amplifier, good components inside.

Sound Quality : 9
I use with a '69 Fender Custom Telecaster, '66 Fender Jaguar, Silvertone Amp-n-Case, and sometimes I plugged a Gretsch Tennesse Rose RI. It's perfect to the way of sounds I like, the amp has a very clean tone, it have a Gain knob, and it works every time. (If you want a clean sound, you have to put the Gain at 0 and the master at 8-9). I like much more the "Saturated" tone it have when the Gain is in 1-3, if you put more gain you have to run over the front of the amp, it's VERY LOUD. It's perfect to get a great overdrive without pedals. Very good to record & home, but it's very loun so you can carry it to a stage. I like it a lot. My amp is a Custom Hiwatt 100, but sometimes I prefer the Traynor 'cause it have "that" overdrive.

Reliability : 9
I think it's indestructible. It have a very good components inside, very simple, perfect.

If you want to buy a very cheap amp, with a very good sound, you are looking for a Traynor TS... every TS's are a very good investment.
