Lots of features for a value amp. One feature it does not have, and it has never had, is tubes. The TS in the name actually stands for "Transistor Series". I don't know why people here keep referring to the tubes. I like the EQ and the 15" speaker, they set this amp apart from the others.

If you like the bass on the NoMeansNo albums you'll love this amp for bass. It works good for guitar too, but you need a tube pedal for nice distortion.

I've had this amp for around 15 years and it still works good. Not a single flaw as long as you keep the pots and sliders clean, but that goes for any amp.

I Have No Clue When This Amp Was Made, and I think everything on it works...I'm not sure about the output, Foot switch, EQ boost or the balanced line out just because I've never used them...lol
Its got the 15" Speaker, the low and normal in/out puts, Gain, Mid, Bass, Treble, Reverb and the amazing EQ...Foot Switch, Eq Boost and Balanced Line Out...I would be nice if it had alot more Gain so I didn't have too use my pedal (DigiTech Death Metal) I use this Amp as my main amp...It does the Job Well, I play a lot of Slayer, the a lot of punk.

I use a 7-String ibanez RG series guitar with two open humbuckers. The Amp's EQ makes almost any sound possible, I play everything from punk to metal (slayer) to rock and it does the job for everything I play at this point...as I said before, I wish it had a lot more gain.

I love the EQ, reverb and everything els about it except the Gain (I wish it had more) I'm VERY glad I bought this amp, I hope I have it for a VERY long time...

I gave it a 7 because it has great bass, mid, and treble controls, mine is from the late 70's, maybe early 80's (It's been sitting in my uncles closet since at least '81) so the gain control craclkes at about 1-2, no major problem there at all. The treble, bass, and mid controls give you an array of different sounds to mold. reverb is deep, and excellent.

A wonderful clean tube sound, the other reviewers said that the distortion is solid-state sounding, well, this is my first tube amp, so I cant tell the difference very well, but I love the rich full musical sound that it gives off, whether its clean, or distorted, sounds great at 10, or 2. However, when the amp is running hot is its best level for musical performance beyond just making the notes sound.

This amp has been passed down to me from my uncle, and at the moment, it just needs to have the tubes replaced (havnt been played in at least 23 years) and that will only make it sound sweeter. this thing is bulletproof, this is my main amp, and I hope I never loose it.

depending on your mood, this amp can sound relly decent. but It's just the plain nasty solid state distortion - if you like that, this amp is one of the best at it, gobs of mid boost. really flexible EQing

I've had mine since they came out ~1977. Lost the boost chanel a few years back, and it sat around a long time getting dirty. Now the reverb's not working well. But this thing's had the crap kicked out of it all over Canada and is indeed tough as nails in the Traynor tradition.

The Yorkville people are nice, but don't have much in the way of parts or support for this thing anymore.

I rate this a 10 fantasic value just because you can get these things so cheap.
Adding to Bill C's comments, I've used that amp for many things. Our monitor amp once broke down on the road and the Traynor stepped in and took the load easily.
The pre amp line out is a geat feature. For a long time I used to run it to the input on my fender bassman, then run the speaker out to the 15 inch speaker in the Traynor. Talk about gobs and gobs of sick distortion. They used to call me Rick Danger because of it.
anyone know the spec on the reverb tank on those? I need a new one.
Cheers!

I would just like to set the record staight on this amp, I purchased one new in '78 or '79. It is a guitar amp, not a bass amp. The previous fellow has listed most of the features, but I would like to add that the 15" speaker was an RCF, and yes most of the good sound is a result of that excellent speaker.

The clean sound on my amp was, well quite clean, too clean, very sterile. The overdrive was typical solid-state distortion.

The Ts-75 served it's purpose when I needed a reasonably priced not bad sounding amp. I replaced it with a black faced 65 Deluxe Reverb which needless to say out-toned it by a huge margine. The TS-75 did give me a pretty good clean tone and was very dependable. Other amps I have owned or still own include, Fender Bassman (2 of these) Twin reverb,Super Reverb( also 2), Champ 12, Blues DeVille, HR Deluxe, Mesa/Boobie Subway Reverb Rocket, Roland JC-77(2 of these),Randall GR-80-112sc, Roland Super Cube 60, Crate CA-30d, and few others I can't remember.

This is a two channel, 80 watt, solid state bass combo amp with one 15" speaker and open back. It has a foot pedal for gain boost and for switching the 8 band graphic eq in/out. It also has a spring reverb tank. These amps score high marks for volume and indestructibility. I have used it with just about every sound source you can think of, with great results.

The pre-amp turns ordinary guitars and basses into grinding screeching fuzz wreaks. Could be played clean, but I don't really see the point in that. There are far better clean amps. You play the Traynor for the noise. It's good noise too. Because of its excellent equalization capabilities, this amp excells at creating carefully sculpted, thick walls of dense distortion. This is probably the best solid state overdrive I've ever heard. Really! There's tube amps with a lot more class obviously, but this is what I think hurting transistors are supposed to sound like. It was designed for bass, but, but it's great for guitar too if you play low and dirty.

This amp has been smashed to the ground in collapsing piles of equipment, kicked, dragged all over, stabbed, and even set on fire. It looks like hell but probably sounds pretty much like it did the day it was assembled. The speaker is pretty damaged, but I would never replace that as I have a feeling that's half of it's sound. This amp is also incapable of blowing itself up. You can leave a guitar feeding back against it with the level on 10 and it will just keep cooking.

You're on your own! But, just about anyone who knows anything about amps should be able to repair this one themselves. I'm not too worried about it breaking any time soon.

Rock solid combo amp with intense love-it-or-hate-it solid state distortion. Great for anyone living the rock-and-roll life on the dirty side, but not reccomended for school or church use.
