This is a small, easy to carry (about 20 lbs.) re-chargable amp that sounds great. It has 2 plug inputs (one 1/4 in and one mic or 1/4) each with their own volumn controls. It also has a set of red/white RCA jacks for an mp3 player/drum machine/back track player. There are 4 eq knobs: bass, two mids and a high. The charge says that it is good for about 10 hours, mine has seem to be going for longer than that. I've used a single charge for 2 3hr practice sessions with my ensemble and 2 weeks of personal practice and never got the red light indicating the charge was getting low.

THe sound is great. I play in a big band ensemble and it is load enough to cut through for about 85% of our songs. I asked some of the guys what they thought of my tone the first night and they had no clue I was using this small amp. I'll be playing one of my bigger amps for our performances, but if it were small combo work, this amp would be awesome. I do use an acoustic pedal - Boss AD-3 and control the tone a bit with that. These two seem like a good combination - the pedal has both chorus and digital reverb available and some feedback features. Makes a nice full tone on this amp, and both can run on batteries.

Awesome amp - you can take it anywhere. We've had some opportunities to play in some parades, and that can always cause a problem with the lack of electricity, but this amp makes it a non-issue. Plus I can take my iPod anywhere and use this for a speaker system - beats the snot out of those external speaker systems for mp3 players - and for the same price!
