This was purchased as a kit and was very user friendly to make. It has 2 channels, normal and tremelo just like the original 18 watt Marshall 1974 combo. No switching or loops or head phone jacks although I'm sure one could add these as there is a large community of 18 watt amps builders who've done everything to theseamps.
I bought it for what it is, simple.. normal channel has volume and tone, tremelo channel has volume ,tone, speed and intensity. It's powered with 2 el84 tubes and uses 3 ,12ax7 preamp tubes. I supplied the Eminence Private Jack 12'' speaker and the superb cabinet was supplied by Stephen at Trinity Amps, This company will bent over backwards to get you nset up, I can't say enough good things about them!

I'm an older guy brought up on rock 'n roll from the 50's , 60's etc. This amp is not as versatile as my Traynor YVC 40 and it's not designed to be. But by God this thing reeeeealy Rocks! If you think 18 watts is for weanies... wrong. With my Strat and Tele it stays clean until it's cranked to 10. Use your vol control to clean it up.With my humbucker guitars, a Godin Signature and Godin Freeway as well as my Godin LG with SP90's THIS UNIT REALLY PUTS OUT. Pure Marshall style crunch at volume 6 and up. I play at wide open and turn the guitar volume down, crank it when needed.
This is an amp you could use anywhere, just mike it for the bigger venues.
These 18 watts are pure rock and roll, as Angus says..'' For those who are about to rock,'' this is the affordable and portable version of the ''stack''. That SOUND you've always wanted but couldn't find is now available.

Since I assembled this unit, any failure would be my problem, However ;this amp design is a tried and true design; all the weak points have been corrected and I don't expect any problems other than the usual tube degradation over t.ime

Extremely helpful, emails responded to asap. Stephen went above and beyond when my transformers took a little too long to get here... he sent me his only spare set. How about that sports fans!
Easy to deal with, just go to Trinity. com and see for yourself.

I started playing in 1956, played in many bands as both bass player and guitar player. I'm now retired and play for myself and with friends. As stated above , as well as the Godin's, by the way ,some of the best value for money guitars available, I have an early 80's Japanese Squir Strat ,a home made Tele with real Fender neck, bridge and various parts, and an original 1967 made in the USA Epifone Howard Roberts hollow body jazz guitar bought new in 1967. This one doesn' cut it with the Trinity 18 watt.
I will probably make another one in the future, maybe the head version ; I would definately replace it should it leave my care by devious means. I compared it to the real thing at 2and 1/2 times the price.. a no brainer...this amp is a keeper.
