I purchased the Trinity SIII in kit form with Hoeyber/Trinity Transformers. This amp is based on the famous Marshall 1974x. Just the basics, four inputs, two channels, master volume on the trinity, 18watts all tube, Tube rectifier, Hand wired point to point, This amp is perfect for those looking for the classic plexi crunch tone without the ear busting volume. Perfect for practice, the studio or recording, or small pub gigs. No channel switching,fx loop, etc but the tone is king!!

I tested the real marshall 1974x "hand wired" at guitar center and loved the tone but the $2400 price was a bit much and Then I read reviews about the Marshall Having reliability problems after just a little use. I then found out about Trinity amps and Ordered the SIII kit. It was a blast putting it together and I learned alot. Once I finished, I plugged in and after cranking the volumes up I was Just BLOWN AWAY!!It has the best Classic Marshall Crunch tone I have ever heard and I own some original Plexis, jmp's,etc. It sounds great for rock, blues, country, etc. I play rockNRoll and love the sound! It cleans up nice at lower preamp volume levels or lowering the guitar volume etc. It came with all top notch parts transformers, caps, pots, jacks, etc. I guess the tube rectifier adds some magic to the great tone because it kills my orig marshalls. Also, This is my first Marshall in which every one of my boutique Stompboxes sounded and worked great, just adding to the tone! There was no noise that would usually render them useless. The amp is fairly quiet even when maxed out! I Use Gibsons with it Mainly a Les Paul Goldtop RI and a 63 SG and both sounded great. I ordered NOS Tubes all around for the amp and can only imagine what it will sound like after installing them!! I cant wait to use this in the studio and to let others hear how great this amp sounds! The best part is that I built it myself!

To new for me to rate, but being that all top notch components were used and it is hand wired ptp I would guess this amp to be very reliable. As long as the directions are followed properly and the amp is maintained properly and cared for, I doubt anyone would have a problem.

I have been playing for 7 years. I have owned many amps over the years from boutique to Vintagesuch as Marshall, Mesa,Fender,Splawn,Ampeg,Magnatone,Traynor,Soldano. I still own a 72 Marshall 1959 100watt,77 Marshall JMP 1987 50watt,77Marshall JMP 2203 Modded,02 Marshall DSL401,95 Marshall Jtm30,77 Fender Twin Reverb, 70's Traynor Head. I chose this amp as I was interested in learning about tube amps and also as I wanted a low volume Marshall with great tone. I need it for recording and for practice without the volume of my other marshalls. I wish it had the tremolo sometimes just to fool around with but I have no complaints with this amp. The tone is excellent and the versatility is also pretty nice after getting use to the different settings and inputs etc. I have no complaints and would recomend this company to others seeking the Marshall Sound with superior quality at half the price!!

BRAND NEW Trinity SIII w/ 12" Tone Tubby Alnico Hemp Coned Speaker. 18 watts tube, 2 channels, Original Marshall 1974X circuit and Custom "Plexi" toned Master Volume Channel. Channels jumped together to create tube amp magic. This combination of amp/speaker is simply the BEST AMP I've ever owned. Fulltone OCD and FatBoost pedals were hooked up and seldom used, they just weren't needed for ballsy Blues lead and clean rhythm tones. The amp created all the tones that the Fulltone OCD is touted for by itself thank you! The bass response from the Tone Tubby is incredible, and the speaker is all it's cracked up to be.
No frills, no reverb, no effects loop. But for me, the ability to control tone and bite simply with the volume knob & picking attack makes this an incredibly versatile amp for my tastes. Only wishes would be reverb, other than that LEAVE IT ALONE! This amp was used in 2 very different situations the 1st weekend I owned it, and more than held it's own on (2) LOUD stages. Large outdoor gig was complimented by a Marshall 4 x 12 cabinet which led to "WHOA, WHAT IS THAT?" coming thru the stage monitors from curiously impressed sound man. On indoor club gig with louder than average stage volume for C&W it shined and I never had the volume(s) past "7" and had plenty of headroom left. I've thought long & hard of something to be critical of, I simply can't find it. I was after a very specific tone based on a Marshall 1974X and I got it, but I also got killer Plexi tone for almost half the price. JUST A BIG FAT GOOD!!!!!

Musical Styles: Blues-Rock, Country & Reggae
Guitars Used: 1981 Les Paul Standard, 2004 Custom Fender Tele, 1996 Big Apple Strat all hot-rodded with Seymore Duncan pickups. Using either Humbuckers, P-90's or hot Tele pickups this Gem TOTALLY fits my style of playing, I simply want to run off the guitar's volume, have clean rhythm and studly vintage lead tones. This amp is the FIRST amp I've ever owned that nails the requirement.
The 1st weekend I owned it, I used it on a Blues gig and a Top40 "Rocked up Country" gig. For 18 watts it has very nice headroom, and when the volume(s) are anywhere past 5 the sweet spots start to appear and the fun begins. Pick attack varies the bite & old school power crunch, the power is in your paws Amigos!!!

Too new to rate, but I highly doubt there will be a problem, haven't heard of anyone having any. As in life, I choose to put my faith in the Trinity!

Stephen goes far and way beyond what is commonly known as "Great Service". I had a weekend of gigs that were important to ME, but surely far below the level of clients he usually deals with, he sent daily tracking updates and called on the due date to make sure the amp was there. He then followed up to see how things went, not by E-Mail but with a phone call! I shall surely do business with this company very soon in the future!

I've been playing 30 plus years, own more amps than I should, including Fender Vibrolux reissues, Mesa Boogie Maverick 2 x 12, Marshall JCM900, JTM60, Fender Bassman reissue, Blues Jr's, Traynor YC40. All GOOD to VERY GOOD amplifiers. The Fenders sound great clean but fall short on the natural O.D. without ear splitting volume. The Mesa is a great amp as well, but just didn't quite hit the sweet spot on either the clean or O.D. side(But still a VERY VERY GOOD amp.) The Marshall's just got too crunchy for my aging tastes. Trinity has taken a marvelous circuitry design (Marshall 1974X) and added a second channel that puts a Plexi on stage in a light, portable, finely crafted amp. If it were lost or stolen I'd replace it ASAP.

I give this amp a 10 in terms of features relatively speaking. It's not designed to have a lot of "bells and whistles". There is no reverb or fx loop, etc... but the versatility of tone and gain options are fantastic. The 2 channels are voiced differently and can be jumpered together for even more options. Channel 1 has only 1 tone and 1 volume knob and is suprisingly versatile. Channel 2 has volume, master volume, treble, mid, and bass. This channel is more aggressive and can go from fairly clean to thick saturation and sustain.
It may only be 18 watts but this amp is very loud. The master volume helps get the overdrive you want without blowing the roof off. I've used it on a few live gigs so far and I've had more than enough volume for any situation.

It sounds fantastic through a strat or my tele but truly screams on my Les Paul (standard). I use the amp for rock. It has that fantastic power tube grind that you just don't get with so many other amps at useful volume. I've also noticed that the tone stands out nicely in the mix of another guitarist and the rhythm section.
The amp also cleans up very nicely when you roll back the volume of the guitar and responds extremely well to how physical you play. Lay into your guitar and the amp follows. Lighten up your touch and the amp cleans up a bit.
Two things the amp won't do are crystal clear clean sounds unless played very quietly or new metal distorion levels (without a pedal). Neither of these are things I really need and the whole point for me with this amp was to get a truly great distored tone without tons of unused gain.
If classic Marshall tone is what you're after at lower volumes this amp is the KING!

I hand wired this amp from a Trinity kit. I've had it for about a month and have used it for a handful of gigs and travelled with it and it is solid as they come. The kit was very well planned and uses the highest quality parts. I followed the instructions and took my time during the build process and feel that the amp is built more ruggedly than most I've seen.

Stephen at Trinity was fantastic. He worked with me on the details and kept me in contact as he was building the cabinet and sent me pictures as the process went on. He answered all my questions promptly and professionally. Trinity's work was impeccable. The cabinet is the finest looking work I've seen. The kit and instructions were perfect.
Nice people who seem to truly love making great amps.

I've been playing for about 20 years and this is the best vintage marshall rock tone I've heard so far. If it were stolen I would definetly build another one (maybe 2). Trinity was a joy to deal with and there work on the cabinet and kit was top notch.

I gave this category a 10. The reason is that this amp is a TMB/Mv model but you can now sucessfuly jumper the two channels to achieve your coveted sweet spot between the plexi channel and the normal channel. Amp has no reverb/tremolo or effects loops of any kind. It is a hand wired hand built Marshall type 18 watt 1x12 combo with a Greenback. How perfect is that?

I'm a 26 year player and this is my first ever product review (here or anywhere else). The slll complements all 3 three of my main guitars wonerfully. '75 Strat/L.P. Standard/'60 L.P.Special (p-90's).
It is all Marshall tone. The normal channel is the original 18 watt circuit that starts to break up around '4' beautifully and the TMB channel is voiced like a plexi. This channel can be made to have more or less gain depending on what R value you throw in the V3 slot. It's a simple move that makes the amp that much more versatile. I've heard itnow through the Greenback that came with it and through a Celestion Blue that I have here as well. Both different and both out of this world. Amp is dead quiet at idle and has almost no noise when playing even full on. Best tone in the box is with the two channels jumped and adjusted to taste in my humble opinion. I'm not gonna throw a bunch of adjectives in this review, just suffice it to say that this is certainly the finest tone I have ever heard. I have owned in the past several vintage Marshall heads which were all very good, however the power section saturation that we all love so much was something I could only enjoy at home with the whole house to myself (not very often). With this little amp I can dime it at 10:00 p.m. and not draw out the cops and be in Marshall heaven. If you get a chance to hear this thing, do yourself a favor and give it a fair listen.

Stephen at Trinity is very helpful and PATIENT. I spoke with him on the phone at length when I placed my order and had no doubt that he knew pricesly what I was looking for. Not for a minute was he condescending either. He was a gentleman throughout the build process and kept me updated regularly with photos and double checked all my requests to be sure it was gonna be right the first time. It was and I couldn't be happier.

Considering that the Marshall re-ssues are exactly that....re-issues, and cost over twice what I paid for the Trinity this was a steal in my opinion. Marshall hasn't had a great re-issue yet, never mind one that was tone tailored for me specifically. Not to mention that this amp sounds more like the quintessential Marshall than those re-issues could even hope to.
