Rocket 50 Combo. Burgandy tolex with gold cloth on grill. Very simple all tube circuit, yet very effective. 6L6 power tunes, 12AX7 power tubes. Hi/Low input switch. Master, Tone, Gain, Distortion controls. With low input you have the Master, Tone, and Gain enabled. Hi gain has all four controls active. No effects loop or other inputs. Amplifier is attached to 2 12" celestian speakers. 1 greenback the other is a professional. You can order any number of speaker combinations. I believe you can hook it up to another 2x12 cabinet to run 4x12. I don't wish it had other features because I mainly use it for a blues/jazz/rock tones and I can control all of these sounds with my guitar volume and tone controls without fiddling with the amp too much. Like I said, very simple, but very effective at what it does. Capable of being very loud. I have to go for 9. Versatile? That depends what your definition and needs are. I find it versatile for what I do.

Sound Quality : 10
I mostly run clean tones and slightly distorted tones, although it capable of some wonderful distortion (and feedback if needed). Very smooth and powerful. It has a beatuful tone with my Deluxe strat and it is very quiet. I was surprised. From very clean to AC/DC, it can do it, and do it with tremendous power and lots of head room. I screw around with settings and sounds in the basement, but I mostly play bluesy type stuff, and I really enjoy playing through this amp.

Reliability : No Opinion
Very simple design built very well. I have only had it for a few months, so it is difficult to judge reliability. Seems to built very well, cabinet is made out of pine and is very solid. No problems with anything so far.

Customer Support : 10
I have contacted the builder directly and he is very responsive to emails and made himself available by phone if needed. He made sure the amp arrived ok and offered to accept it back if I needed anything tweaked as far as tone, and would fix anything if it arrived damaged.
By far, the most pleasing purchasing experience I've had with someone that built something for me. I feel that he would make things right no matter what.

Overall Rating : 9
Playing since I was 15. I am 30 (wow that hurts to write). Play blues/rock/funky/jazzy whateverness. Play at some parties and gatherings. I have played several other amps in my guitar life. Others had more versatility (inputs and effects) but this has so much tone. If anything it is too loud for me, but I love the tone, so I plan to try an attenuator at home. I would by another amp from Ugly Amps if needed or if the gear aquisition syndrome hits.
