Neutrik input jacks, knobs for tone, volume, effects, lots of ins and outs, phantom power a handle, and two 8' speakers. I'm a fingerstyle player and use a looper pedal through the effects loop.

Sound Quality : 10
This is what I came to talk about. I auditioned everything the local shops had to offer. Fender, SWR, Crate, Roland, Marshall, Fishman and none of them had the sound I was looking for. I liked the Roland AC 90 but it was much more expensive. I ordered an Ultrasound online based on the list of fingerstyle artists who have used or endorsed this amp. I love this amp! Very natural sounding, full tone, and a reverb that I like. I have a PA for larger rooms but this is great for coffee house gigs and weddings.

Reliability : No Opinion
5 year warranty and I believe the folks at Ultrasound will back it up.

Customer Support : 10
Spoke with them on the phone before buying and found them to be friendly and helpful.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for 35 years - yeah I'm old enough to know what sounds good. I have a small PA with two 12 inch cabs but don't want to carry it around if I can get it done with one light, great sounding amp. I highly recommend this amp for solo guitar.

Purchased used, but looks and acts as if it were brand new. Perfect for what I need: I use channel 1 for a mic (Beta SM58) and channel 2 for my Taylor 914. Often used at church, with groups of 10-500+. Of course, it's direct line out is connected to the PA for larger groups. Then I use it as a stage monitor. The effects are OK, though I wouldn't use them much even if they were spectacular. A little reverb and chorus are sufficient for me, and preset #5 combines them nicely - I control the level of the effects, which can be switched to either channel. 50 watts sounds small, but this lightweight amp can do credible job in surprisingly large rooms.

Sound Quality : 9
I've used this amp mainly with a Fishman Blender-equipped guitar, but also with K&K pickups, and even an archtop electric. No one will mistake it for a Plexi, but it does what it does well. I love the straight acoustic tone. It sounds like my guitar, only louder. The tone controls look very basic, but they sounds so good I really don't need more. For a fairly quiet room of 50 people or so, I rarely have to push it beyond about 40% of available power. But I bought it for it's tone, not raw power. I have PAs for that.

Reliability : 10
I've used it regularly, but only for a few months. I've had no reliability issues with it whatsoever. Nor had the former owner, though he had used it in nosier environments at higher volumes. I'll rate it "very dependable - so far."

Customer Support : No Opinion
Because it's been so dependable, I've had no experience with Ultrasound's Customer Support. From what I've read in a couple of large guitar forums, they're above average, but I really can't say, personally.

Overall Rating : 10
I love this little amp! It fits my needs perfectly, better than similarly priced offerings from Fender, Roland, Fishman, etc. Great tone, adequate power, decent features, all in a light weight box. I'm ordering a Tuki cover for it, just to keep it looking new for longer. I would buy it again in a heartbeat if something happened to it, especially if I could get as great a deal as I did. It's not as powerful or versatile as some of the much more expensive acoustic amps, but I think the AG-50DS4 offers a HUGE amount of music power for the dollar.

Made 2005, give or take. I play straight-up pop folk, some jazz. Rugged enough. No issues with the cosmetics or covering. Enough subtle effects that I can find what I want. Phantom power provided for condenser mics. Only 13.6v, not the full 48 -- but enough to power my AudioTechnica-2020 just fine. Both jacks are combination XLR-1/4", which is nice (and why I opted for this amp over Roland's AC-60, even tho' this amp is a bit heavier (24 lbs.)). Effects assignable to either Input 1 or Input 2, and input 2 also includes a notch filter.

Enough sound to fill a small to medium hall. Cleanly amplifies voice & acoustice guitar (SM58, L.R. Baggs iMix) or voice & mandolin (SM58, and mandolin (AT-2020), or my Kent-Armstrong equipped archtop.

For a one-man show, it's just fine, and an excellent value for the price.

I've also owned & used a Polytone Mini-Brute II and Roland Cube60.

Sound Quality : 9
Clean. Effects subtle & useful (I don't use 'em much).
As noted above, amplifies voice & acoustic instruments cleanly.

Reliability : No Opinion
Amp hasn't broken down. That said, I don't road tour. So far, so good.

Customer Support : No Opinion
No need to deal with the manufacturer. I bought mine via Guitar Adoptions, who packed well & shipped promptly - arrived safely from Illinois --> Boston.

Overall Rating : 9
For $450, I don't know what else is out there -- certainly nothing else I know of that offers the dual XLR input option.

If I could change one thing, it'd be a full 48v phantom power supply for the input, and make it switchable. And a headphone output would be nice.

Anything else I might want is more than twice the price.

I bought this to play at our weekly country music guitar get together but also play classical and classic rock.
2 channels. CH 1 is designed for mic or guitar and ch 2 is pretty much for guitar only. I like my guitar sound thru no.1 with no effects. Sounds great! The effects are very good. I don't use effects on acoustic but I do play my semi hollow electric thru this with the amp's onboard effects and it sounds great. The cover material was applied terribly ! Looks like a kindergarden class did it as a project. All the ultrasound amps I've seen looked like this. For an amp that sounds this good, they should take a little more pride in it's apearance but it's all about the nice clean sound for me so this shouldn't matter, but just because of this, my wife bought a Roland ac-60(sounds as good ,but the effects aren't as good and just a little more $) For the $, I don't think the Ultrasound can be beat. But for the crappy job on covering It gets a 7 (could have been a 10)

Sound Quality : 9
I play a Takamine with under saddle pickup and the sound is awesome thru the amp.I had a little hum in mine on ch.2 but I think this was due to the faulty jack.ch.1 is nice and clean and sounds good up to about no.8 on dial, above that there is a very small hum but realy never breaks down.

Reliability : No Opinion
Mine had a bad input jack when it got here and has been returned for replacement but I've used others and they all were very nice so I'm sure I just got a lemon. I am sticking with this amp and returned mine for exchange for same model. Only used it a few times so not sure about reliability but I know others with the earlier models that have been using them for years with no problems.

Customer Support : 8
Bought mine thru Musicians Friend and they paid return shipping for the exchange. I contacted Ultrasound about my problem and they replied to my email promptly but refused to send a replacement jack and offered to fix it under warranty. but I wasn't about to pay the shipping for that on an amp I'd had for 3 days so it went back to MF.They didn't address my complaint about the covering at all.

Overall Rating : 8
If lost or stolen, I would buy another one or maybe replace with the Roland AC-60, another very nice amp in this price range but I like the effects on the Ultrasound for the Electric hollowbody, that was the deciding factor for me when choosing between the two. Once again, the covering is absoloutely horrible ! not applied very well at all and the only reason I won't give it a 10. Roland is much prettier in fit and finish department.
