This is a 1971 Univox B Series Head. Although it is a bass amp, I use it for guitar. This is a basic amp, two channels, four inputs, three band eq, presence and bright pull switch. Impedence is selectable between 2, 4 and 8 ohms, making it very versatile depending on the cabinet you use with it. 105 watts RMS, powered by seven tubes. This amp is very loud and clean. I run it through a Marshall 4x12 cabinet. I have two main setups, one running a Zoom G9.2tt in front of it, disabling all amplifier simulators. I also run analog with a Goudiefx G-Drive and Delay, as well as a Landmine LD-1 overdrive Digitech Whammy and a Hiwatt Wah.

Sound Quality : 9
I use this with an Ernie Ball Axis and Gibson Les Paul Custom. The amp itself is totally clean, but with my muli-effects in front of it it is unbeleivable. The tubes warm up anything I put in front of it. I've even tried my Line6 Pod 2.0 and its sounds pretty good. There is absolutely no noise coming from this amplifier, and it is rediculously loud. It has the ability to power four 4x12 cabinets, although I have not yet had the opportunity to try that.

Reliability : No Opinion
This thing is almost forty years old, but it works perfectly. Built like a tank, and almost as heavy as one.

Customer Support : No Opinion
This company hasn't been around for some time.

Overall Rating : 9
This is a great tube amplifier, and if you can find one, they usually sell pretty cheap. I have been playing for over twenty years, I have owned so much gear over the years, but currently own a Marshall JCM2000, David Eden bass rig, Fender Princeton amp. I recently sold a JCM800 50 watt head, replacing it with this head. I love the tone of this amplifier, warm, loud, noisless. What more could you ask for, and only three hundred bucks!
