Pretty straight forward controls, typical late 60's. Nice tube driven tremelo, spring reverb. I think it is supposed to be 22 watts, gets loud enough for small combo playing. Single, clean channel with foot activated trem/rev.

Sound Quality : 8
I play a variety of Fenders, Dano 12, Ovation Patriot and good ES-335 copy. Not loud enough for our 5-pc., classic rock cover band playing out, but suitable for practice. Very similar to Fender clean sound, breaks up nicely @ 2/3 volume.

Reliability : 8
Bought @ garage sale and spends most time in my rehearsal space. Looks all original and near mint. Not overly rugged, if gigged special care in hauling reccommended.

Customer Support : No Opinion

A good sounding, retro-tube amp. Got it cheap, wouldn't scour the earth for another. I play a Fender Hot Rod Deville and this amp is similar enough in sound so that programmed pedals sound the same through both. Separate bass and treble controls would be nice although the tone knob is sweet dialed between 1 and 2 o'clock.

Amp was made in 1967 or 1968 point to point wiring. Good clean sounding amp, over-drives and breaks up nice at full volume. I play 60ies rock so it works very well. I have used many guitas thru this amp and the guitas make some difference in the sound. But it's really the person playing thru it that can make it or break it.

Reliability : 10
Bought this amp new in 1968 when I was 16 years old. replaced all the tubes for the first time in 36 years last week. had a few caps and a few resistors bad. But after 36 years ! what would you expect? all total it cost me 175.00 bucks for everything and it sounds as good as it did it 68.

This amp I bought new in 1968, I am the sole owner. I paid $168.00 in 1968 dollars working for .95 cents an hour. I worked all summer that year to buy it and many have come and gone since. But this one will always stay. True the circut board was hand wired (in Japan) but who cares!it was put together in New York City! I have all the original paper work with it and have never seen another one like mine! even after hunting on e-bay for 10 years.mine is still mint with factory cover, sad to say the foot switch departed years ago. made another from a randall. may not have much collectors valvue, but
it's a peice of GUITAR HISTORY! it can't be replaced! I have wrote this in case any of you out there has a univox like mine or need any info about this model. will be glad to help you out.
