Early-mid 60's. Vol, tone (off/on), Vibrato Intensity, vib speed, vib f/s, 1-6V6, 1-5Y3 rectifier, 2-12ax&'s, 1-channel, 1-hi input, 1-lo input, originaly had 2-5 1/2" speakers tied togather for a 4 ohm load, made mew baffle-board with 68' CTS 8", 4 0hm speaker. Sounds much better.

All of this fits into a 17x14x8" cabinet, covered in a blue-grey tolex with the old suitcase type handle on top. About FOUR to FIVE loud watts a 3am.

Overall...built pretty well.

Sound Quality : 8
I play Fender Strats, Home-made Start-a-likes, (single coils), SG styled guitars (humbuckers) and Washburn acoustics.

This amp suits my style for a little ole pratice/studio amp for playing late at night.

It was noisy when I got it...replaced caps and cleaned the tube sockets and pots up and am happy with the amp.

This amp is clean till around 6...then gently begins to open up as you crank it rest of the way. The distortion is a highly compressed, raunchy, but sweet, sing sustain type. Actually, small amps are just plain fun to play thru.

Reliability : No Opinion
I would gigit with a microphone just to show other players that bigger isn't always better.

I never play out without having a spare amp or two...never know when Mr.Murphy and his lawless bunch will show up to make you look and sound bad.

Valco/Magnatone...all of em been out of business a long time.

Customer Support : No Opinion
As above...fix it yourself or take it to a tech.

Overall Rating : 8
Been playing for nearly 38 years. Amature, Semi-pro, and on stage with some of the big ones.

Other gear...Tons!...Lets just say 23 amps...mixture of tube amps, transistor amps, and a couple hybrids (tube pre-amp with transistor main). Some of em be Peavey, Vox, Omega, Magnatone, Gretsch, Tonemaster, Crate, Quantum Q 70, Kay, Ampeg, Fender, Hilgen...there's more in storage!

Guitars...Fender Pro Tone Strat, Kustom Strat, several strat-a-likes, which I have built,Hamer, Washburn A/E Spirit solid-body, Krammer, Echo, Framus, SG spinoff...more in the closet!

If the little ole TWILIGHTER were stolen, I'd probably never find another like it...I think this one is a bit rare. I'd add something else to the collection.

I love all amps. You just gotta find out what they do and use them as best you can. Any amp has a home with me.
