There is something about a 1940's amp circuit that turns a guitar signal into aural honey . You want alchemy ? Turn the volume to 3 o'clock and control level from guitar pot or switch . The overtones are incredible , the noise floor tolerable .

Last week I turned it off in good standing , last night I turned it on and got not a peep . Using substitube technique , found a bad 6J5 . It helps to lay back some replacements and your reliability factor goes way up . Cussing last night , singing sweetly again today !

This is in a home made cab with a split angle baffle . A 1959 12" Magnavox leans up around 80 degrees , while 2 Magnavox tweets point down at 98 degrees . 2" tweeters are 1959 also . I bought this ready to trash the cab , but it has grown on me for its origionality . The guy who built it said he had a bogus Vox badge on it because his band wanted an all Vox look on stage . You'll never see a Vox like this !
