This amp truly is the quintessential blues amplifier. I purchased this new at Victoria. I met Mark and Pete who were extremely helpful. They let me try out the different speaker combinations and I settled on the 2x15 Jensens. It has two inputs, all the lush reverb you will ever care to use; which seems over kill past "2". There is a nice sounding Tremelo circuit, which sounds as good if not better than any amp in its class. It is rated at 35 watts but I would say it screams, as loud as any thing you would ever need on stage.

My Closet Classic '62 Strat seems like it was made for this amp. Every note drips with tone. I use a reissue tube screamer and it sears and shreds like every nuance you throw at it. I also have a PRS Custom 22 which pulls tones out of this amp nicely, but it shines with single coil Strats. Clean, Shimmering tones, punchy lows, not muffled. Every note is defined pushes through the amp. I would say it starts to break up at between "5-7" and still retains a natural quality about it.

I watched them put the Chasis in the cabinet and it is true point to point wiring. Clean, neat, quality workmanship. I would say Victoria has gone to every extent to use the best materials I have ever seen inside an amp, which they back up with a lifetime warranty. I do not forsee any major problems with anything. The amp is self biasing which is great and they recommended that I try different tubes with the amp. It comes stock with Groove Tube 6L6's and Make suggested I try 6V6 or 5881's, but apparently the stock tubes have longevity and sound great.

Life time warranty, excellent customer support, and I have heard from other people they are great to deal with. What more can you ask for?

I have been playing over 10 years. I have played black face twins, pre CBS Vibroverbs, and most vintage amps. I own a marshall which is going to collect a lot of dust since I picked up this amp. Thanks Mark and Pete at Victoria for making such a sweet product! Worth every penny! and you will need lots of them to get yourself one, but if you do you won't regret it. 88

This is a new Victorilux, built March 2005 by JoAnn. I have a Tweed 35310 and was looking to pair down my effects pedal, so I thought this would be a nice choice. It has reverb and tremolo built right in with an optional foot switch. It has two inputs, (probably low/high gain) and only one channel. I got the single 15" speaker because Mark Baier (the owner) said I should. I should say that we've been friendly since I bought one of his earliest amps. My tweed Bandmaster was the first Victoria with a tube chart, which I insisted on! I didn't go down easy though, I disscussed all kinds of speaker combinations first. 2-12"'s. 2-12"'s combined with 2-8"'s A 15" combined with an 8". In the end, he said there would be no benefit to all those "extra" speakers, and since I already had a 3-10"'s amp, I went with the single 15". I guess I'll get to the sound below, but suffice to say that this amp is more versatile than my tweed Bandmaster, but for the music I play, they are both great. One of the great things about this amp is that at 35 watts, it isn't ear splitting to get a great overdrive happening. I find the wattage/volume to be perfect. Last weekend I used it for an outdoor gig, but it sounds great between 2 and 4 in my den!

I use a '64 Strat replica, a '57 ES 225T with P-90's and a newer Gretsch 6120 DSW with Dearmond pickups. All sound incredible through this amp. They also sound great through my tweed, but this amp just has something special. It has a "Brownface" sound that reminds me of my old "63 Bassman. The '63 Bassman was my "one that got away." I was tired of lifting it and sold it to get a '66 Pro-Reverb, but now I don't pine for it anymore! The amp is dead quiet except for the usual single coil hum from the guitars. It came with mostly Groove tubes. Between 1 and 4, it has a nice full clean tone that is to die for. Like the best deluxe you've ever heard. From 4+ to 8, it just sounds better and better and blusier. It makes me wish I had one of those knob turner drives like Neil Young has. I think he calls it the "Whizzer", that mannually turns up the volume knob. But what I do have is a Fulltone Fat Boost. I just step on that for a little extra clean boost and the amp does the rest. I'm not sure if this is pre-amp or power amp tube distortion, but it's GOOD! %^>

I now have a 10 year old Victoria, something not many people can say! And I've only had a couple of noisy resistors in the pre-amp section and changed various tubes after their useful life had ended. I have two local techs who can do any repair, but if I ever needed help from Mark I know I could send my amp back at the drop of a hat and it would come back working perfectly. I've been good to my 35310 and it's been good to me by supplying me with great tone for 10 years. I expect no less than the same from the Victorilux

I guess I said this above, but not only has Mark been nice, his employees are stellar also. I called to ask a question one day and got JoAnn on the phone. When I identified myself, she said she had just built my amp and that it sounded awesome. I told her how unsual it was for me to hear a woman say that! She encouraged me to pop the back and check out the circuitry because it was beautiful. In the course of the conversation I found out we both have 2 daughters 10 and 13 years old. Of course that was an interesting conversation as well. When I got the amp and popped off the back, it looked like jewelry. She was right!

I've been playing over 35 years (I don't look a day over 40!)and I have finally found the holy grail of guitar amps. The tweed Vicky is really good, but this is just incredible. I sold a January 1965 Deluxe reverb in pristine condition to get this and I don't regret it one bit. This amp sounds better than the Deluxe even at the same volume I used the Deluxe with at home.
