Pretty basic amp, all tube signal path and completely point to point hand wired, one channel, no effects loop (THANK GOD!) intensity, speed, reverb, bass, treble and volume controls and thats exactly how it should be. It's not the most versitile amp out their by any means but I play blues/rock style music and the occasional chicken pickin' and for me I will never find a better amp, I'm as happy as a school girl when I play through this amp. Obviously if you play metal this amp is not for you, but for anything else this amp ROCKS OUT LOUD!... It has the dynamics of a narrow panel tweed Fender with a blackface reverb and a brownface tremolo circuit...I'm drooling just thinking about it

Sound Quality : 10
I play a Fender USA '62 vintage hot rod Stratocaster with American vintage single coil pickups with a reverse-wound/reverse phase middle pickup into a Fulltone Clyde standard Wah-Wah pedal to a modified Ibanez TS-9 and then into my Victorilux (Using all Monster cables)and the tone is to die for, the reverb is just the right touch up to about 4 and past that it's SURF CITY, the tremolo is absolutely stellar (Think John Fogerty). I was a little skeptical about buying an amp without a mid-control but this amp covers it perfectly, you definately do not need one. I can very easily get a Nirvana Teen Spirit crunch at about 8 on the dial with very little help from the tube-screamer, roll down the volume knob on my guitar and I can play SRV's Lenny TO A T!. Cranked to 10 (out of 12) the amp almost takes on a Vox AC-30 quality and I absolutely love it. I sold a Vibro King (Overpriced piece of crap) to buy this amp and would do it again in a heart beat. I hope my family can afford a really large coffin when I die because they are burying this amp with me...

Reliability : 10
Never had the first problem, built like a tank, will gig without a backup without any worry.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had to call them so I dont know.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing for 13 years and owned a list of amps including a...Vox AC-30CC2 reissue, Crate vintage club 2-12, Fender Vibro King, Hot Rod Deluxe, Vibrosonic, Pro-Sonic, Supersonic, Blues Deville 4-10, Blues JR. a Marshall Half Stack and countless others, I have played through even more including Matchless amps and several others and this amp tops my list, it makes my heart skip a beat. If it were stolen I would find a way to buy another one or I would just give up. Their is a better chance of me losing my arms than losing this amp so thats not even an issue. If you can afford it buy it, you will not regret it.

I got this amp a few months ago, I had Mark make me a 210 version of the Victorlix. This is the Tweed 6L6 version. Its a little easier to transport than the 310 version, kind of a mix between the Victoriette and Victorilux. I play funky blues and roots style music. No effects loop, or any of that to mess up your signal. Just very nice reverb and very lush tremelo. I play clubs and bars with this amp, its pretty much a perfect power for these uses. The 210 version brings down the breakup point a little bit. Still obviously more headroom than a Victoriette.

This amp is great for roots and blues music. You can go from a kind of Fender blackface sound, without quite as much shimmer, with the middle control around 4-5, to a tweed sound with the middle cranked up around 8-10 ( out of 12). As previously said, the middle gives the grind. As also has been said, this is as close as you'll get to a tweed amp with on board verb/trem. It stays fairly clean to about halfway up on the dial, then starts to sing nicely. Sweet spot for me seems to be 6-8 on the volume (again, out of 12). Sounds equally fantastic with a strat or with my Gibson semi-hollow with P90's. Haven't heard humbuckers through it. Its not going to give you Marshall kind of distortion, just nice natural breakup. I really like either old GE 6L6's, or a friend just gave me a pair of old Tung Sol 5881's, that I just used at a gig, and they sounded great. Especially nice with the P90's. The old USA made tubes really make Victoria amps shine. 50's Tung Sol 12AX7 in V1. The current manufactured Tung Sols are nice too. I'm using one Jensen P10Q and one C10Q (reissues). The alnico and ceramic mix works well in this amp configuration. If you want a real tight low end use two ceramics.

I never use a backup. I've been using Victoria's for years, and never had a problem (knock on wood). They are very well made.

Very good in this area. I've sent this amp back to Mark to convert to a 210 from a 310. They will do whatever you want. Not sure of the warranty, but I'm sure unless you do something stupid, they will do the right thing. These amps are very easy to work for a tech that knows anything about old circuits. They will do any mod that you ask for, as long as its doable. Thats the beauty of a smaller company.

I've been playing for 29 years, wow, I own all Victoria's. I would get another if it were lost or stolen. It has such a nice big warm tone, but if you step out in front, you'll hear you still have plenty of cut, and I'm a bright head. I recently played through a Marshall at a rehearsal studio, and it sounded real shrill and bright, unless on the neck pickup of a strat, though even then to an extent. These are all handwired, just like the old amps. Also, the pine cabinets make for a very lightweight amp. The only thing I would wish for would be a master volume control. But I know Mark likes to keep things simple, that makes for the best tone.
