Tone...Tone...and More Tone. I've been playing for over 30 Years, have owned or played through every type of Amp extensively. Hands Down, this amp is the one that can be truly felt as an extension of myself. I'm afraid to try the Other Models due to the fact that I will not pay bills.

Just check out the Victoria website for features. Volume/Bass/Treble/Reverb/Tremelo controls. Standby switch. Basic single channel vintage style amp. Features? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder right? This amp has all the features anyone would need. I know other amps are overrun with bells and whistles but...why? I give it a 10 because for me, its extremely versatile.

Classic 50's amp tone. That's what its all about. Has sort of a tweed/valco tone from the 50's. The speaker you use has a big impact on how it sounds obviously. The Weber 15 gives it a smoother more focused tone like Mike Bloomfield or BB King in the 70's.
I've used a couple of different 15's in it including a 50's P15N. They all sound good but actually settled on the reissue Jensen C15N. It had the perfect vintage vibe of the old P15N, but was a little louder and had the perfect amount of treble/top end that the P15N was lacking. I didn't try a reissue P15N though.
Sounds great with all guitars; both Gibson's and Fender's. I don't use pedals so I don't know about that. You can put a bunch of different tubes in it. For recording, one or two 6V6's is killer. Live its not loud enough with two 6V6's. Two 6L6's sound best live and its about the perfect volume for a low to medium volume blues band. I haven't been to crazy about the 6L6/6V6 combination.
Great reverb and tremelo, although I would prefer a brighter reverb. The tremelo sounds good but really warms the tone up alot. On the treble pickup its fine, but for a neck or neck/middle pickup setup, it usually won't cut enough. In the studio this isn't a problem.
I'm crazy about this amp. i've been gigging with it for about a year and recorded a CD with it. Classic 50's blues guitar tone.

Had one strange problem with it...never figured out what it was but Victoria repaired it at no charge and replaced the power tube sockets with some kind of bullet proof socket. I've gigged with Victoria's for about 4 years now and never had a problem on stage.

Marc Baier is the owner of the company and is the support guy I've dealt with for everything. He's a nice guy and always helpful. I do get the impression his time is stretched a little thin. but no complaints.

Great classic amp with excellent tone at the perfect volume. Being able to switch tubes around is extremely convenient. It would be great if the tone on the reverb was a little brighter, but most folks probably wouldn't like that.

this is a very versatile amp, you can use any combination of EL34, 6L6 and 6V6 power tubes with no rebiasing. Many different sounds to be had. The amp comes with a Weber 15" alnico speaker and on board trem/verb. Would be nice if it had a prescence, but its fine without it. Has all the features I need.

With all the different power tube combinations at your fingertips, you can get many different sounds with this amp. I sometimes flip the tubes between sets at gigs if I find I want more clarity, or earlier/later breakup. Sounds real nice with 6L6/6V6 combination. EL34 gets a more British breakup. Strats/teles sound great through it. P90's sound outrageous through it. Mini humbuckers sound great through it as well. Haven't tried buckers through it. As with any Victoria, it will do anything but metal.
I've played anything from small brunch gigs to 1,000 seat theaters with this amp. Worked like a champ in both situations. Pull a power tube for smaller clubs, so you can still crank it.
Has nice breakup, the amp is voiced on the warm side with the big 15" speaker, but you can crank the treble and get plenty of cut. I guess with the 15" speaker, it kind of falls between a Victorilux and tweed Fender Pro, which is pretty cool.

Never needed to get anything repaired, but I'm sure Mark would do the right thing. Ant good tech could work on these amps easily, or just send it back to Victoria. Mark's always answered questions when I've called or e mailed.

I've been played almost 30 years.I would definitely purchase this again. This is the only amp you need, you no longer need different sized amps for different sized rooms. It weighs about 50lb.'s, which is pretty reasonable. I really like all the different sounds to be had from this amp. I played a theater the other night, and after the sound check, switched from 6L6 to EL34's, the sound man said, wow, the amp does sound different. Kind of like the Victorilux, but warmer, and more versatile with the power tube situation. I've always loved 3-10 speaker combo's, this is my first 15" speaker. Not as quick reacting as the 3-10's, but its a very big thick sound. Probably interesting to hear this in a 3-10 setting. I still get plenty of cut, just turn the treble to 8-9.5 (out of 12). The trem and verb are top notch as well. I love having them on board. I'm really enjoying this amp. People always laugh when they see me flipping power tubes between sets. Yes, I am neurotic. But its so cool to change the sound on the fly in a room. You want more/less cut? Earlier/later breakup after a set, just change the tubes to tailor you sound. As with all Victoria's, they aren't cheap, but well worth the money. And they are alot cheaper than alot of other boutique amps.

This is the new Victoria Regal II. I purchased in Oct. 2006 from Dave's
Guitar Shop in Lacrosse. Class A single channel amp with reverb and
tremelo. I have been using the amp for small - mid sized venues blues & country gigs. The amp allows for power tubes to be pulled for 5w - 35w rating depending on what tubes are being used. (e.g. 6v6 ,6L6). Mine came with a Weber VST 15" Alinico speaker with the French Vanilla tolex.

I have been playing guitar for more 40 years , been through all sorts of gear. I usually don't write reviews only when I find something special and feel I've gotten exceptional customer service from the company offering the product. The sound and tone on this amp is special. Run Don't Walk to your nearest Victoria dealer and check out the new Regal II. If your looking for an amp that delivers on the clean to slightly dirty side of things with absolutely the best reverb and trem my ears have ever heard. Very 3 dimensional. I'm currently playing the amp with a Custom Shop Jeff Beck Strat. This setup allows me to easily switch from blues, to country, to jazz, to surf. I recently tried out the option of running with just 1 6L6 in a small club, this allowed me to crank the amp to 7 and get that nice warm slightly overdriven sound without all the volume. I am also an owner of the Victoria Victorialux 3x10 & Victoriette. The new Regal II is warming sounding, (a softness to the notes) has killer reverb and tremelo. I preger the Regal II over the Victorialux & Victoriette.
The amp is studio quite, I've done a bit of recording with it and very happy with the sounds I'm getting to tape.

Only had the amp a month, so far no problems. I'm expecting it to hold
up jusyt like my other Victorias have with no service issues over the
last few years with the exception of replacing a few microphonic tubes.

Mark has not let me down in the customer support area. Every question I
have asked has been promptly answered with solid technical advice. I can
tell he really cares about his customers. (he makes me feel that way)

Been playing for over 40 years. Lot's of different equipment and
sound styles. This amp has everything I've been looking for in the
way of tone. Being able to pull power tubes to drop volume for smaller
venues is really nice. Allows you to open the amp up without all the volume and get killer tone.
E-mail me if you have questions about this great new product from Victoria.
