New 18 watt hand wired custom tube amp. 2 channels. 2 inputs per channel. 1 volume per channel. 1 channel w/ tremelo controlled on/off by supplied footswitch. 30 watt mojotone speaker. JJ tubes. no effects loop or headphone jack. 1 tone per channel.Amp is perfect for recording and small club dates. obtains great touch responsive classic tone at listenable/recordable sounds levels. I mainly am a home instrumental recording hobbyist and i play in blues/rock jams. A "modern" player looking for a "do it all" amp needs to look somewhere else. This amp is very versatile if you are a "vintage" type player

Sound Quality : 10
this new amp produces a classic "clean" distortion. This is not a high gain amp and it has no master volume. Controls are very basic so a knob turner will not be happy w/ it. I've found the tone to be perfect at around 2:00 volume setting w/ the channels jumped, using a humbucker equipped guitar, controlling the tone/volume w/ the guitar. Other than reverb, which i wish it had, no effects I've found improve the tone of this amp. Amp is absolutely silent w/ the volume turned off on the guitar. Any blues/rock player will find this amp perfect.

Reliability : 10
its newer so it's never given me a problem. previous long term experience w/ this builders other products would lead me to expect no issues. I wouldn't hesistate to take it to a gig w/o backup

Customer Support : 10
lifetime warranty from builder, other tubes than of course. immediate response from previous experience from builder. Builder has great personal knowledge of tube amps.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
I have been playing 30+ years and I own over 40 tube amps from every era. Marshalls, Hiwatts, Oranges, Fenders,Gibsons, Ampegs, and even 2Peavey's i've owned 30 years.I have 4 other amps from this builder. This is his best yet. I am primarily a Marshall player and I like the classic clean distorted sound. This amp nails that sound at a managable volume,w/o any effects. It has replaced my 50 watt 1968 small box Plexi as my GOTO amp. Happens to look cool too !
