This is a straight up classic 6G15 made to fit inside your amp. It is 4 months old and one of a kind so far...it has a full length spring chamber and uses 1ea 12AX7 and 1ea 12AT7 and 1ea 6K6...it has three nobs mix.. dwell... and tone. All the nobs respond just as you would expect, if you've played a classic 3 knob reverb you will know what to expect... if you havent your in for a treat. Most spring reverb units have a single dwell knob and have the toneand mix at a preset location. This may seem like a simple Reverb unit and thats cus it is!! but withen the small rotations of those three nobs lie all the classic reverb tones of the 50's and 60's....it's just amazing how you can do with this unit!! Perfect for blues and classic rock as well as surf and country.

I'm a strat into Fender amp blues guy these days but have played most styles and amp and guitar types and endless effects over the 17yrs and nothing sounds like Tube driven spring Reverb!!! and nothing sounds like the classic 6G15.... virtually all "boutique" reverb units made by the "big" guys is a close to exact replicate or a slighly modded version of the 6G15. Same thing here with the Vintone but of course it has its own voice!! Today I play a US Strat with Fralins into my original 58 bassman. Once i got this amp I knew it was the one for me but I hated not having on board reverb!! and carrying around my Kendrick 1000 was a pain...I tried for years to get Gerald Weber and other boutique guys to build me this unit but most were to busy and Understandably, unwilling to tool up for a single unit. <enter Doug Stalters>... I started seeing Dougs auctions on Ebay and when I saw pics of his amps...i knew had to give him a call...after a few emails and phone conversations I knew Doug really knew his SXXT and could do this job. When you do orders from Vintone you going first rate all the way. We are talking about a single man who builds your amps from sratch!!! All phases...chasis, cabnit etc!!!...and your left not being sure which to be more impressed with...his woodworking (you must see these cabs) or his steller electronic work all point to point with all the right parts...trust me on this or see the sight for pics...Tube Reverb Tones as sweet as they come....

Built like a tank and easy to fix should anything ever go wrong!!! You can do most the work yourself for just a couple of bucks, a soder iron, and a pair of pliers...like a 57 cheavy..

You simply cannot get better support anywhere!! I don't know anyone else I can just call up and say hey I got an idea...will you build it. and then HE will. He went way out of his way on this one and is now tooled up to make more. I have had the Prototype in my Bassman for about 4 months now and this Thang is awesome!! just nails all the classic reverb tones!!!!!!! YOU will not be Dissapointed!!!!!! Hey the very fact that when he first sent me it came in a cutome made wooden box/crate the unit was packed with the utmost care (it all matters to Doug) I figured I would get it ...mess with it for a while and then send it back and we would do this back and forth untill it was Perfect... well this never happened cus it worked perfect!!!.He obvously spent so much time in perfecting it(a first run by the way) that it needed no real adjustments....if you have ever done lead dressing and layout you can appreciate what im talking about here..I simply mounted and installed it in the circuit at the predestined place and fired it up... I then spent hours with NOS tube combinations to get it just right and came up with 2 really nice set ups...I also noticed some very slight notes on insallation and I shared it all with Doug who will incorporate this stuff so that when you get yours it will be even better!!! I am not disclosing the price as this unit is the prototype which concures the cost of prodution.
