Voodoo Amps Fender Super Reverb V-Drive Mod

This is a 1974 Feneder Super Reverb. It is a (2)channel. I had sevreral conversaytions with Trace and Mike at Voodoo Amps about what I wanted done and sound I was looking for. I wanted the Seveie Ray sound, both clean & overdriven. They new just what I was talking about. What I got back was exactly that and much much more. The amp sings, is warm, yet bites enough without the harsh sound that most the time comes with adding treble, or presence. The contols respond very, very well, giving the amp so much versatility.I use the amp live, and for recording. The power is 80 watts, and has more then enough for the clubs I play. The sustain, or as I call it "Hang time" on the notes is great. The master Volume, gives me so much control without destroying the tone.

I use 5 guitars currently. A 90's Feneder Fat Strat W/ Texas Special single coils, and a Humbucker in the bridge position, A Califorina Custom Strat, 1982 Gibson Les Paul W Humbuckers, Parker P-40 W/ BareKuckles pickups & a peizo pick up, Gibson 61 SG reissue W/P-90's. I do play all kinds of styles, from rock to blues to country. These guitars hit all the sounds and with the amp from VooDoo amps, it nails all those different tones easily. Just turning a knob here and there does it. The amp is very, very quite. The clean is very clean, and the channel I had them make overdrive, is quite, but with great clean distortion and sustain. This is very hard to accoplish, and they have that "Dialed". The overdrive channel has Mussle and is fat. I also had them install 4 Weber speakers, 2 Alnico, and 2 Ceramic. They dialed the amp with those speakers in place for the tone I now have....It was worth it several times over, again, and again.

I can count on the work they do 100%. No problems at all. I have several more Fenders and Marshalls I am going to send to them for Repairs and mods. In fact I am so impressed with thier work, they are the only ones that will touch any of my amps and now my son's amps. He is going on tour again and will only let VooDoo Amps repair and Mod his amps.

The customer support is nothing less then outstanding. When you call them, they are ready to talk with you on any subject about guitar tone, amps, so on. They treat every conversaytion professionaly, with respect, kindness, and understanding....no matter who you are or how many times you may ask the same question. If they are closed or not available to talk to you at the time....which is rare, I know cause I called them a million times in the beginging, they always returned my call.

I have been playing since the 70's. Amps I have kept, Vox AC 30, 5 Marshalls W/ Cabinets, 2 Fender Super Reverbs, 3 Fender Twins, 1 fender Studio Bass amp, 1 Bassman 10, 1 Fender Bassman 135, 1 60 Fender Bassman head, 4 Fender 2X 15" bass cabinets.

If it were ripped off, I can't describe that thought and I don't want to even think of it. I am going to have all the above apms repaired by VooDoo, some simply restored back to originaly specks and some done with thier mods.

I did tons of research on amp repair and mods, and these guys are "IT". I am and have been a player and an audio engineer all my life.Studio engineering, 8 years and going...Live on the road mixing, 8 years and still going....please forgive my spelling at times though......I have worked as an audio enginner for the past 21 years in a show room and I have worked with the entire spectrum of entertainers,styles, and sounds through all of this time. I came away with VooDoo Amps out of them all for the company to do the work on amps.....that's advice, and my personal expierence. They also did a mod on my Wah Wah....OMG, same thing, great, great, great !!!!!!

They also make some great amps....I will buy 2 of them soon....
