Used Laney VH100R. It has 2 channels. Each of which can be A/B'd from a lower gain the a higher gain. In other words the 1st channel goes from clean to crunch. Channel 2 goes from overdrive to fairly high gain. Also has a rocker switch for added gain and a resonance switch to fatten things up a bit.

This amp in it's stock form was bright and noisy. But was great for lead playing and had a better than average clean. I asked Trace to get me close to the 80's metal tones. He delivered. Trace told me that this is an original circuit so I can't tell you what the mods were done. This amp now has another switchable gain stage to add more than what it originally had. It's fatter with a little more low end. It's now voiced more towards the typical 80's Marshall tone (impart because Trace threw some Ruby EL 34's in it) but with more clarity. Pinch harmonics jump right of the neck. Singing sustain. It will go into harmonic feedback with no problem. Once the master volume is on 2 this amp sings. It's a great lead amp and will do 80's metal and approach thrash. He also made the amp much quieter.
The clean channel is excellent. Very similar to a Fender clean. I can use it with my Taylor 914C and get really good tone.

To soon to say but I'm confident in Traces work.

Trace is a top notch person who treats every customer with respect. He makes it clear that he wants the customer happy and seems to really care. I doubt I'll have any major problems but if I do I'm confident Trace will help in any way possible.

This amp is a blast to play thru. It's very responsive and does the 80's things very well. I also have a Bogner Uberschall and still this amp see's a good amount of playing time. A couple of other HC forumites have heard this amp seemed to like it a lot. DeanBCR, Wrightdude and Cybil spoke highly of it at AF III in Culpepper. I have no regrets and highly recommend Trace. If you own a Laney and feel that it could be better send it to Voodoo amps ASAP. You'll be glad you did.
