Features : No Opinion
Since this is a mod, this does not really apply. However, the original features still exist after the mod, with different consequences to tone.

Sound Quality : 10
Anyone who plays a TSL100 knows that the sound is very fuzzy and loose in the bass. There is alot of gain available, but the sound is like the amp is behind a wall and not up front. Trace's mods clear all that up. I asked for a tighter bass, and to get rid of the buzzy/fuzzy gain sound that was there no matter what you did. Here is the result: Clean channel is now the perfect blend of Fender shimmer with some Marshall blues compression thrown in. The mid boost switch puts this tone in blues heaven, and disengaging it puts you in clean strumming territory. Crunch channel now sounds like a cranked Plexi on volume 2. The best sound of any amp in my opinion, and the reason people admire Bogner amps so much. You can hear every note of a chord, but the sustain and grind are still there. Turning down the volume cleans up the sound. This alone is worth twice what you will pay for the mod. This is what it is all about .... crunch with articulation, tight bass runs (think "Carry On" by Kansas or "Heavy" by Collective Soul..) and wicked sounding chords no matter what interval is thrown in. Outstanding!! The Lead channel still has more compression and is still darker, but the mod makes it come forward in the mix. The result is a pummeling rock sound that is both full and punchy at the same time. I can not say enough about the tone of this amp after the mod. Trace has great ears, and knows what you want. My amp has gone from a flubby gain ridden amp to an articulate crushing amp with his mod.

Reliability : 10
Trace and all the Voodoo amps people are professionals! This is not some fly-by-night setup. Trace both builds his own amps and does mods of other brands. The amps are tested after the mods to ensure tone and run for hours to ensure reliability of components. Trace stands behind all his work, and is always responsive to any questions and concerns you may have. It don't get better than this!

Customer Support : 10
Trace is the best guy to deal with when talking over modifications. Lets face it, it is nerve wracking to give your amp up to somebody who will work on the boards and power section of your amp. But Trace knows what questions to ask, and he is always there with quick responses. A great, great experience from a super professional and friendly guy.

Overall Rating : 10
I am a former Bogner Ecstasy owner, but I hated using a $3300 amp just to do bar gigs. Plus all Bogners sound basically the same. I bought a used Marshall and decided to have Trace mod it. This amp will compete with anyone's Bogner and will be customized towards your own personal sound. This is a GREAT value for GREAT tone with OUTSTANDING workmanship. I saved $1700 dollars by going this route!! And I honestly like the Voodoo tone better than the Bogner. Again, Trace customized it to my own tastes. This amp is now one aggressive MF, and with tone. And it sounds like this at any volume. Ripping, man, just RIPPING!!! If you yearn for better tone, do not hesitate. It costs you nothing to Email Trace or call him and ask questions.
