This amp is amazingly versatile. It does exactly what Voodoo claims on its website. The cleans are fantastic -- harmonics leap off of the fingerboard. It breaks up very well, with great note definition and lush, warm tones. Gets a great "woody" clean sound. Believe it or not, it even works well for jazz. Terriffic blues and rock amp. I have the deluxe mod, and this amp sounds worlds better than a stock JCM 900 (which is pretty good to begin with).

The clean channel is greatly improved by this mod. The amp breaks up great. The controls do what they should do, and you can get an amazing variety of sounds from this amp. Amazingly responsive. The mod allows you to really use the channels on the amp; set the first channel for clean, the second for overdrive; and with the JCM's foot pedal, you have amazing versatility and responsiveness. I can't say enough about this amp. This is the way to go: get the JCM 900 and have it modded; it sounds like a super expensive boutique amp afterwards.

I have been playing for over 30 yrs; have music degrees (masters in guitar performance); have played pro; own and have owned very expensive, boutique, handmade equipment. If this amp was stolen, I would either replace it or get a boutique amp. The Marshall handwired amps are also great, but not as good of a value as this one. This is a great, all around amp.
