Features : 9
This amp is feature laden. Check www.rivera.com for complete details. There are so many features that I can't remember them all.

Sound Quality : 9
I thought I'd follow up on this since I've had the amp for a month now.

I am very pleased with the results of the mod to channel one. It no longer sounds boxy. The distortion now sounds lush and dynamic throughout the range of gain. From slight break up to high gain it sounds great. Realize however it's not really a modern high gain sound. It's still voiced as more of a blues to hard rock sound (Van Halen, Foo Fighters etc) but is much more responsive and cleans up great with my guitar volume. Pinch harmonics sound awesome now.
I'm running it through an Avatar 4x12 with Vintage 30's on the top and GH-30's on the bottom. The cab really compliments the amp. I did run it through a Mesa Recto 2x12 for about a week and it sounded OK but not as good as the Avatar.

Reliability : No Opinion
Keeping my fingers crossed. Voodoo amps is in NY and I'm in AZ so I'm not planning on sending the amp back to them any time soon. I doubt they pay for shipping if the amp shuts down.

Customer Support : 5
One negative however that I must mention. A couple of weeks after getting the amp back I discovered that the ninja boost is now inoperable. I never use it so I didn't try it when I got the amp back. Anyway, I emailed Trace about it and got no response from him which I think is poor customer service. He at least could have told me to screw off!!
Despite the broken Ninja boost I am still very happy with the mod and I recommend it.

Overall Rating : 7
I've been playing since the mid 80's and I've owned a long history of amps and will probably go through a bunch more as time goes on. I think Trace's mod to the amp has made it as good as it can possibly be. I gig with it now and it sounds awesome. I'm still unhappy about the broken Ninja boost so I must give the overall rating a 7. The sound of the amp is a solid 9 though.
