Just a quick correction to my review below. The Witchdoctor combo has a 12 inch V30 speaker. Sorry for any confusion.

Voodoo's Witchdoctor 10 Watt Combo is their high-gain fire breather in a small package. Single channel amp w/ Master volume (and an excellent one at that), Bass, Mid, Treble, Global (Voodoo's sweepable Mid control that lets you set the sweet spot of the mid-range), and Gain. Also has a Gain Boost switch for an extra kick. All housed in a 1x10 combo with Celestion V30 speaker. Easily drives a 4x12, with or without the internal speaker connected.

Fantastic tone, from low gain bluesy drive to high gain death metal mayhem. I play a Les Paul Standard with stock pickups, and my usual setting is for that hot-rodded classic metal tone (Lynch, DeMartini, Van Halen...). It really can do a lot of sounds, and at any volume thanks to the excellent Master. Most of the time I run it into a 4x12 with Greenbacks, but the internal speaker sound very good as well. The tone controls are very verstaile, and the Global knob is pure genius.

I've only had it for a month or so, so I'll say no opinion. The construction is top notch, and it's a point-to-point handwired masterpiece, so I'm not expecting any trouble. Trace at Voodoo has been very quick to respond to my questions, so I imagine customer service would be no problem should something go wrong.

Overall, I'll give it a 10. I needed something that could deliver screaming tone without peeling the paint off of the wall, and the Witchdoctor 10 watt delivers in spades. But make no mistake, crank it up and you could definitely gig with this amp, especially when its driving a larger cabinet.

The witchdoctor 10 is a new model from Voodoo amps specifically created to deliver excellent tone at lower volume levels. It is fantastic at this. From bluesy sounds from my strat to crunch with my Les Paul, this amp provides phenominal tonal variations that respond from clean with the volume turned down at the guitar to ultimate crunch at full blast. It is a single channel amp with Master volume, bass, mid, treble, Global and gain control plus extra gain boost through a toggle switch. There is enough gain for anyone. Bass response is clean and clear and the highs come right through the mix when recording.

Ultimate tone especially high gain. This amp is not for the weak at heart. The distortion goes from warm to crazy, Then you hit the gain boost toggle and it gets brilliant. I am playing a Strat with EMG DG pickups, a '76 Les Paul with Humbuckers, a Les Paul with P90s, A Les Paul with P100s and a Yamaha with SD JBs The best sounding are the Strat with gain set lower for raunch and the "76 LP with high gain for crunch. I bought this to keep my wife from going crazy from the volume level but still be able to record and play with good tone. It delivers as promised.

I have only had this for a little over a month. But I am not worried, based upon other reviews that I have read and the customer support you get from the company

There is not a rating high enough for this. When you deal with Voodoo amps, you deal with a company every bit as much into good tone as you are and they stand behind their product, provide guidance and are always willing to talk about what you are trying to achieve with their product.

I have been playing and recording off and on for 30 years. I have 11 electric and 3 acoustic guitars (and growing) I also use a marshall JMP-1 preamp with a Mesa Boogie 20/20 power amp and a custom 1x12 tuned port cabinet (on their way to Voodoo for mods. I also have a line 6 Pod Pro. My primary objective in all equipment that I purchase is its applicability in my studio. If this were stolen I would immediately replace it with another one just like it. In the studio no amp modeller can replace the articulate sound created by the combination of a real amp and a good microphone.
