March 2002, these were suspose to have been discontinued as of Feb. 2002. So,I'm at least one of the last ones made by Marshall.
I orginaly bought a used AC15TBR. Quickly retubed it with JJ EL84's(2) and EH 12ax7's(5) and put in a celestion blue.Than I changed a couple of fuses in the power circuit and replaced the RCA 5Y3 rectifier tube with JJ GZ34.
Latter on I bought the PT, OT and Choke from Mercury Magnets and had them installed plus I have the repair man change out the resistors and capasistors in the tone stack with carbon comp. resisttors and good caps.
It has all I really want. Master volume, reverb & trem.

It sounded great as I got it. Emmenance bull dog speaker and EI tubes.
It sounded more great with the new tubes and Celestion blue.
It sounded even more greaterest with the rectifier modification.
It sounds the mostest, greaterest with the new PT,OT and choke from Mercury Magnets and the res. and cap. change out.
Way load, lot of clean headroom if you so desire. It get the sweetest fat overdrive with the channal volume on 10 and master setting the over all volume.A bright lively sound with a solid, warm bottom.
Extreamly touch sentitive and dynamic. Pick lightly and this sweet sweet sound comes out. Pick hard a a beautiful bark comes at you.
I have been playing for 35 years now, have hade a shit load of amps, mostly Fender. This thing modified like it is just simply rocks, my favorite amp, by a country mile, and than some.

Only had a small cap die on me. The amp made a swooshing crackling sound when it warmed up. Amp repair guy fix it when it was in for the mods. Other wise, no problem.

Stock I thought it was one of the nicest amps i've ever played. After doing the mods, I have at long last reached amp nervania. If this thing isn't load enough for you, I would simpley never want to be any where near you when you play, it's has lots of power and volume. About 22 watts I'm told with the change to the GZ34.
Awesome sound, unbeleivable tone , super sentitive touch control and
dynamics to die for.
I hear a Dr. Z Maz 18 Jr. is in the same ball park, looking foward to checking one out.
