Beautiful gentle static white noise is what you hear when this amp turns on. Its got no hum quiet as a mouse at high volumes.
Top Boost is just the best sounding channel on any amp i have heard. Clean sounds break up beautifully, very accomodating to pedals, takes the maxon od9 well and acheives a nice natural break up at lower volumes. Love the sound of my Les paul studio through this amp on , excellent lower frquency control and chimes at upper mids. A very transparent amplifier that still retains an english character.
The sound through my set up can be a growling warm distortion or hot chimey cleans. Wont ever look for another amp.

I have played a few amps marhall valvestate.... wont dignify with any more words, fender twin good but not as versatile and a few othrers... This thing just shivers. If it were lost or stolen then i would go and get Dr Sam Beckett and his pals Al and Ziggy to leap back in time and change history for the better.
Been playing 12 years own a proffessional recording setup, and everyone loves the sound of this amp. you will be no different.
