I have two ER 15, both dating from around 1965. The amps have two identical channels, each with input, volume, treble, bass. The on/off is integrated into one of the treble-pots. The amp is wired for 16 ohm and sound best with a 2x12" open back or with a 4x12" marshallstyle cab. It's 15 watt class a, 2 ECC 83 a preamp and phase inverter, two EL84 working the output stage. circuit is very similar to a vox AC 15 or Marshall 18W. So if you expect fine vintage tube sounds it's the real deal.

sound very nice when clean and great when pushed into distortion. with a tube screamer it's very bluesy, SRV-like. with a rangemaster you can get reat brian may tones. with a distortion you can push it to brutal gain. all sounds are very dynamic with a good reaction to the players dynamic and guitar-vol-pot. nice compression when cranked fully.

It seems to be a wimpy construction with the cheapest parts used, BUT: my two ER 15 survived from the 60's they are heavily worn and seem to be played very much, all parts were original including the tubes and they were both working. I replaced the filter caps and cleaned the pots, thats all, isn't this reliable ???

If you look for an all-tube, class-a, 15watt, point-to-point wired original vintage amp with a very good sound, buy one if you can get it !!!!!!!
