Made in England 2nd half of 60's, cabinet with a 12" Goodmans speaker 40 watts/16ohm made in Wembley. Two channels each with treble/bass/gain controls. In the head there are tubes: 3 Philips el84 and 2 Philips Ecc83.Class A amplifier hand wired .
Connector for cabinet is the ancient Pulgin type.I change it with jack connection so i can use cabinet also with another head "peavey blues classic 50" wich sound perfect for my needs... blues r'n'r etc.
Head is 15 watts and get a natural overdrive when gain is wide open.I'm testing in the house so may be the room help to sound good but my first impression is very much good.I removed the back panel.

This amp for my needs is to be crancked up and then find a couple of tones using controls on my guitars. I use with it a telecaster a les paul and a stratocaster, well with all the amp sound very good ,very sensitive to the touch and perfect middles.Distorsion is "vox ac 15" kind
no buzz and noise .For my music style is a holy grail even if is only 15 watts can't separate no more..perfect tone to rock on.

Very simple. 2 channels - Gain, Bass and Treble. I play a bunch of guitars through this Strat, Les Paul, Chandler Guitars. It rates high for features because simplicity for me is a great feature. Nothing gets in the way of the signal and tone oozes out of this amp.

HOLY SMOKE!!!!! This amp is completely awesome. I use the superlative 'awesome' very carefully because everyone wants to justify their purchases somehow and a lot of reviews are just rubbish. However, I've owned many, many amps (over 40 great old Vox's, Marshalls, Fenders and others), and this amp is incredible. 15 smokin' all-tube watts. My currently owned comparators are a 64 Blackface Princeton Reverb and a Silverface Princeton Reverb. I generally run the two in stereo at gigs and over the years have attracted loads of comments from players about how good those amps sound. But, this little WEM is something else. This amp has the most detailed, clean sound going around and overdriven is something to behold. IT's LOUD!! It kills the blues and rock and roll break-up is AWESOME. By the time you jump on a tubescreamer, this little amp has extended the middle finger and shoved it in the face of virtually EVERYTHING you've ever heard. Clean - PRISTINE!! Overdriven - BALLS (This amp has 3 testicles man!)

Made in 64, running Mullard valves. Quiet as a mouse at idle and screams when pushed. No issues, unwanted noise, no failures thus far.

If you see a little Control ER 15 head for sale but you're in the market for an original Vox AC15, AC30, Marshall 18 watter or something similar, stop what you're doing and buy the WEM. I'm telling you, BUY THE WEM ER 15! I run it through Greenbacks, Webers and even a pair of no-name Jap speakers (Alnico). I just can't get a bad sound out of it. It doesn't require tweaking - just plug in and play.
