Read the Features in the other reviews below. I bought mine late 2003. It has a solid wooden case covered in black vinyl, with gold coloured plating behind the large control dials. This tube amp delivers 100 Watts of RMS power.

Im amplifying a S-series seven string Ibanez through an effects board.

Lets get things straight. If you want a fancy amp with effects in built on it, then go for it. You'll be paying more. Today's music is all about footpedals because you can do a hell of a lot more tweeking.

This amp is raw essential power. If you want BASS, this thing is huge. Let the pedal do the work and change the sound. I promise you this amp is the be all and end all. The sound I have customised through my pedal produces the most brutal thumping noise I have ever heard - ever. And its still got a good solid tone in it. And then if you want a warm mellow sound, this thing is also perfect.

The Woogie is a bloody engine. Pump it with the signal and it will pump out tremendous energy. You cannot find any other amp like this for the price. I'd played a lot of amps before I made my choice and the Woogie literally blasts the competition away.

For those metal heads looking at a Marshal I say this: try look past the brand name and realise its an overpriced amp that was big in the 80s. They come off a production line. The Woogie was specifically engineered by Frank for years and he has produced something amazing. This is his life's work. His passion. And its the biggest secret I want others to get into.

The best sound Ive heard on the Adelaide live circuit was Captain Cleanoff. They use Woogies. I tell you, they deliver the biggest punch.

Reliability : 9
The amp is great. You can crank it for hours day after day. If a tube cylinder goes, you could even replace it yourself.

Customer Support : 10
Frank has been working with his amps for 35 years. He knows what to do.

Overall Rating : 10
I had my spill in the Sound section. Lets just say that as soon as I have the cash, Im buying another one, now, for one insane set up.

Dual channel, single input (clean/overdrive),Bass, Middle, Treble, Presence, s'Got all the grunt and gain you could ever need..
I asked Frank to put in a bypass input so I could use another preamp
if I needed ..no problem Frank sorted it out the same day..
Not that I need to use another preamp.. THIS THING ROCKS!!

Sound Quality : 10
I'm using an Ibanez RG series guitar with three pickups mainly..(2 humbuckers and a single pole in the middle) also a single humbucking
bitch for slide.. Currently playing in a blues/southern boogie outfit
the amp is perfect in this genre.. now I think about it ..the amp would fly in any situation... 50/100 W switch is great for club or outdoor gigs
Gain can be mild or wild - sing or sting..I'm using a Boss BD 2 blues driver ..to slightly alter the already magnificent clipping the amp delivers to suit various moods during the set..however the amp is quite ably endowed in the o/drive area thanks very much!!
I've used a few different Woogies over the years..

... Flanky baby you finally got it right !! ...

Reliability : 9
It's only been awhile.. but so far so good

Customer Support : 10
12 month warranty .. Frank's always been able to help in some way..

Overall Rating : 10
This system is right up there with any British or Yank tubey...
I highly recommend this setup to any guitarist be you Pro or just starting out..
absolutely 10 stars

Woogie 100 watt all valve (4 6L6's in powerstage) head and two by twelve box. Three channels, clean, cruch and lead, with footswitch. Single input, two gain knobs, one for clean, one for lead/crunch, and each channel has a volume knob. Only one set of tone tone controls - but they are the most powerful tone controls i've ever heard. You can dial up anything.

Sound Quality : 9
Played with a strat (japanese reissue of 57) it is chimey in the clean, and pretty rauchy in the overdrives. It suits some of the stuff I'm playing at the moments, but is best suited to a rock (any style), punk or loud blues style.

Reliability : 10
I've never had to have it fixed, and it had worked every time i've played it - except one night when i left it on at rehersal, and the next day i played it for around 15 min. and it just dropped power to nothing. The next day (after a rest) it was fine again

Customer Support : 6
I've talked with Frank. But, i live in Victoria, and he's in Adelaide, so unless i send the amp to him, i can't get him to do anything. He was alright, but i found my local amp tech to be a bit more helpful.

No warranty to speak of. Wouldn't need one.

Overall Rating : 9
I've been playing for four years now, and this goes along with countless pedals, come and gone. Right now i'm sticking with just a super overdrive, CE-2 chorus, a DD-3 delay and a plain ol' Crybaby. This is a nice amp - certainly loud enough for anyone, and highly recomended. If you're interested - send me an email. As much as i don't want to part with it, i need the dosh, and will settle for a smaller amp.

This amp was custom built for me based on a Mesa Boogie MK 1. It's a 2 channel amp (all valve) switchable from 60-100 watts it also has an extra gain boost on the dirty channel. There is no reverb on the standard amp but for an extra $200 Aust. you can have reverb or tremelo. I run it with a 2X12 200 watt Eminenece box. I'ts all very nicely made with good attention to detail

Sound Quality : No Opinion
I play a Les Paul Standard and a custom Les Paul Junior with Seymour Duncan P90 and a Tele neck pickup. I play mostly 60s style rock/pop and it works fine for that, you could use it for any style really. The clean channel is really clean, but you can dirty it up till it gets as dirty as the dirty channel set clean (hope that makes sense) You do have to watch out for feedback a bit, but it's more an individual control kinda thing.

Reliability : No Opinion
I can't afford a backup but I figure not much can go wrong with mps if you treat them with respect. I do carry spare valves and fuses

Frank from Custom Music puts a 12 month warranty on his amps. He would not hesitate to help me out

For $1050 AUD (That's about $600 US) you can't go past it I also bought the 2X12 Box for $400AUD ($1450 AUD). I would have to spend twice that for a Marshall or Fender equivilant and not reall gain a thing, except less money for guitars and other stuff (I hate the Australian government they slug us here in Australia big time with there import duties and GST)

Lead Volume increase control and footswitch are really good for gigs.
Loud Amp as per the British Vavle amps of the late 60's-70's.
60/100watt Power option good.
Still remains good for Clean and "Driven" sounds.
Retro-fitted Reverb Tank excellent.
Would have liked Two Channel Inputs- but you can't have everything and still keep it simple.

Sound Quality : 9

Reliability : 10
No problems in 12 months of playing at least twiwe a week (practice/gigs. Gte hammered in and out of the van. This is a "working" amp.
If I had any problems I'd take it to Frank who built it, here in Adelaide.

Local company - see previou reviews.

Well, 12 months on and I'm still using the same Woogie set-up, built by Frank at Custom Music, Adelaide.
Will keep this amp. until I die.
I would have another one built if it was stolen.
Considering adding another 4x12 in the same Blue Vinyl.
I have NO financial interest in/involvement with he company!

Revision of previous comments. The Output Valves are 4x6L6 and not as stated (EL84 - this was my error.)
Have decided to have a USA Spring Reverb fitted by Frank the guy who built the amp - will cost $250 Aus (about $125 US and 90 British Pounds)- not bad.Rating remains at a 9 'cos I can add stuff as and when I need.

Slightly too much noise on the clean channel - took it in to Frank and he "tweaked" it and now it's fine. Let me watch whilst he did it - any other companies let you watch what they do?

Overall Rating : No Opinion
Still better than my DeVille for all sorts of reasons, though I did love that amp.As good as any British Valve amp I've tried.

New Custom-built 100 Watt All-Tube Head (Output Valves 4xEL84's), built by Frank at Custom Music in Adelaide, South Australia.
Blue Vinyl!!!With a matching 4x12 Box looks bloody great!
All Hard-Wired.On/Off/Standby Switches and LED for ON.
Master Vol./Volume/Drive Knobs.
Bass, Middle, Treble Knobs good Tonal Range from Skank to Santana.
Clean, Overdrive Channels with Rhythm/Lead Switching (increases Volume for Lead Breaks(Rhythm/Lead Channel is switched by Pulling Master Volume or by Foot Switch. Foot Switch also for Clean/Overdrive Channel Switching.
Also 100 Watt - 60 Watt Switching so you can get good gain at lower volumes. This is a loud amp and this feature is a great idea as is the Rhythm/Lead option.
No Reverb but I can add later or use my effects pedal.

Sound Quality : 10
Using with a Les Paul and a Strat.
Great clean sound and great overdrive.Clean Channel has stayed clean as loud as I've used it.
The last amps. I played like this were late 60's early 70's British Valve jobs, Carslbro, Original Orange (Matt Matthias), Marshall, Sound City, HiWatt.
Lots of Tonal Variety -I paly in a Cover Band and I can get every thing from Holly to Hendrix and all in-between.
I traded in my Fender DeVille for this It is a hell of a lot less noisy at high volumes and Overdrive.

Reliability : No Opinion
Only new - I'll let you know in 3 months! It's well constructed and I know that Professional Bands use these amps.

Customer Support : 9
Custom built - I'll take it back to Frank if I have problems -He built it. I reckon any decent Amp. Tech could work with it.
Frank is proud of his work and listened to what I wanted.

Overall Rating : 10
I am nearly 50 years old and an Englishman living in Australia - I wish i'd found this guy 30 years ago!
I tried everything(Orange, Matamp, Marshall, HiWatt etc. to get that British Tone with that Overdrive/Bite.
I would not have bought a Marshall or a HiWatt etc. I could not affford a Matamp. This sounds better.
Whole set up Amp and 4x12 Cab cost me $2,450. That is about $1200 U.S. and about 900 British Pounds. Try getting a decent set up like this for that sort of money in Australia, or anywhere else.
