I give it an 8 since it doesn't have reverb or distortion, but its a bassman, so its not supposed to! I love the normal and bright channels. I found that connecting the two channels via a small cable to access both tones at once delivers the best sound.

Sound Quality : 10
This is a very punchy amp that is suitable for Rock, blues, funk, and R&B. If your into clean rythmn you MUST have this amp. I've never played an amp that is as defined, punchy, and warm all at the same time. It is also very good for leads, although I think I'd prefer a 2x12 for some serious soloing. However SRV used a ton of bassman's so ya never know! I only play a 61 strat with fralin blueskaster pickup setup through this amp with a touch of overdrive when called for, and the tone is bliss. Here are my EQ settings - Presence - 3, Mids - 10, Bass - 4, Treble - 3, Both Volumes - as high as you can stand it. I'll never sell this amp.

Reliability : 10
I've only had it about 5-6 months, no problems yet.

Customer Support : 10
This amp is custom built by a local guy here in Nebraska. He was friendly enough to give me a call to ask how I liked the amp. I would stay thats pretty damn cool in the customer service category! If I have any problems with the amp, I know that it wont be swept under the rug as it might with a large company such as marshall or fender.

Overall Rating : 10
You can literally play anything you want on this amp and its going to sound beautiful. I have a 61 strat modded with 6100 frets and 12 gauge strings tuned down half a step with 5 springs in the back, and lindy fralin pickups with the blueskaster setup and with the EQ I have my amp at and a light tough of TS-808, I get perfect SRV tone ala Little Wing. (My english teacher would kill me!) Its too cool! I'm sellin my Bogner Ecstasy!
