The 3 band EQ is all I've needed. Pity there's only jack in and out. It'sd a powered speaker and does that very well

Sound Quality : 10
Gigged this now and it's just great, does exactly what it should and sounds awesome with the DG Stomp between the guitar and the amp.

Reliability : 10
These things are made very rugged and I expect no problems.

Customer Support : 10
I still think Yamaha's service in the UK is everything CS should be and an example to everyone else in the industry. Just makes me want to buy more Yamaha kit. Recommended Yam to a student and he bought a top Yamaha bass he'd have never bought without me telling him how good the company is.

Overall Rating : 10
Still think these cabs are great and at the sort of price you can stiull get them on eBay a super bargain - but make sure you have a POD, DG Stomp or some sort of front end - these are dumb powered speakers that need a preamp and some modelling on the front-end.

A basic guitar/pa powered speaker with 60 watts and a celetion 12 inch speaker in an open backed cab. Very similar to the current Tech21 Power Engine (also 60 watts also Celestion 12"). Single channel with slave output. EQ - three band - on or off. For what it does it does it well.

Sound Quality : 9
Completely transparent - will amp whatever you input. Not guitar voiced really - you'll need a POD, DG Stomp, whatever to create a preamp / effects front end and some high level input. If you want to use this for a PA you'll need to up the signal in a preamp/mixer like the Yamaha MG10/2. No niose really - very quiet unit.

Reliability : 10
Never had any Yamaha kit breakdown yet - so no problems yet

Customer Support : 10
All the calls and help I've needed from Yamaha have been brilliant - knowledgeable people and very helpful. Just what customer service should be (UK).

Overall Rating : 10
Yes I'd get these again - I've got two that I use as a stereo backline and in the studio. Quiet, rugged, reliable, do the job. Look and same specs as the newer Tech21 Power Engine. Shop around as these are now pretty cheap on eBay and a bargain considereing they used to sell for 250 GB pounds in the UK. Considering that there's nothing else out there at such good value. If you have a DG Stomp (I've two) and you've tried them into a normal amp - try them into these or a seteo PA set up - that's what they were designed for - ditto the POD and many other units designed to DI rather than an effects pedal into a guitar amp.
