Do you know what year the amp was made in?
No
Is the amp versatile enough for you and the styles of music you play? What are those styles?
(described under Sound Quality)
How many channels? Does it have channel switching? Effects loops? Headphone jack?
1; No; No; Yes
What features do you wish it had? Why? Are there features you never use?
It's sufficient, never using the distortion
Where do you use this amp? Does it have enough power for you?
Okay for the living Room, too weak for a drum kit.

Sound Quality : 5
I ripped the "amp" out of its case, decontaminated the speaker - was broken anyway - and use it with a 12" box parallel to a 10" box (Fane is really an insider tip on ebay) on a Strat copy with a refitted Humbucker and a distortion Pedal in my living room now. The clean channel is really good for it. No comparison to the bass cutting blues distortion offerd by the amp itself- damn bad for H- dropped guitars.

Reliability : 10
No Problems yet!

Customer Support : No Opinion
I bought it used and had no contact to Yamaha yet.

Overall Rating : 7
If it were stolen or lost, would you buy it again or get something else?

No, it was just a lucky shot on ebay (about 20$ incl. shipping) and I'll try something else next time. Compared to the Ross Systems Amp I had before, it's good!

Very simple cheapo little solid state amp. has only basic controls, volume, bass, mid, treble and a useless distortion.

Sound Quality : 7
I have two of these little things in my room. when i don't need my rack (Engl E530 preamp and a Digitech VGS2120) in the studio i bring it up into the room and plug it into these two. it's exactly what i need for kidding around. first i only had one, but i bought another one, so now i have a tiny stereo heaven in my room.

Reliability : 10
it's really sturdy, it's never let me down. I wouldn't use it on a gig at all, except if it was a concert for mice-men living in the attic above my room.

Customer Support : No Opinion
never needed it.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for about 3000 days now.. my main guitar is a usa custom shop jackson SL2H with emgs, then the ENGL E530 preamp, Digitech VGS 2120, engl 840/50 poweramp and a bunch of other stuff, including the yamahas. they're really great for the money, i'm probably never going to get ris of them. i'll give it a 10 overall rating, cause it's a really cute very useful little thing for practice. Gain control for Distortion, Volume control and 3 tone controls (trebble, bass and middle) headphone jack(i used it only one time looooong ago). Solid state amp 10W.

Sound Quality : 6
This amp is ok for practicing in a little house, not great but ok, and listen me: ONLY USE IT AS CLEAN AMP...the distortion sucks, and dont use hearphones on it...it becomes the amp in a totally shit. I use a strato copy and sound sweet clean (allways bass at 10 and middle at 4 or 5), If you want play metal, rock or whatever in this amp please buy a good dist pedal

Reliability : 7
Its a durable amp, i never had any problems with it...only a little problem with the power cord, nothing important

Pretty simple, but that's ok. My first amp so I would think it's only good for beginners. Distortion is ok, and that's about it. It's loud enough to fill my room, but not enough to carry thru the over- packed music halls I am so accustomed to. : )

Sound Quality : 7
It's quite noisy on distortion, but other than that it's ok.

Reliability : No Opinion
Worked ever since I got it. Mind you it hasn't moved much from my room

Overall Rating : 7
I think I'd go for a more powerful amp (mind you, it can get quite loud) with more features. Good beginners amp, and that's about it.
