I ordered the amp because it has three channels, including an XLR input and a stereo RCA input, a little eq, and 100 watts of power, to use with my guitar, and sometimes with my keyboard. In theory this amp would have been ideal.

I have a godin electric with 2 singles and a double - put through a Roland GT5 processor as well as a Yamaha classical which I just mic and add a little reverb , which provides good sound for any and all styles of music. My styles include rock, funk, blues, and classical. With the GT5, I just needed a clean amp, but the 100KB isn't it.
It's pretty noisy, even with all channels at zero. If I am going to mic the amp at gigs, I need good sound, not static. Also, the reverb didn't seem to do much but increase the static.

I would depend on Yorkville as much as any other company's product.

This amp needed no repair, but from other experience, they are one of the best companies when it comes to the 2-year unlimited warrantee.

I just got this amp a couple days ago and am returning it in the morning. I had ordered it because of features, price, and strong reputation for no hassle 2 year unlimited warrantee. In general, the company is very good. They just made a big mistake with this amp. I would rather have one channel and no eq, so long as it ran clean.
(I wish I had my old Epiphone SC-210 back.)

I bought my 100KB in 2003 as a starter keyboard amp to go with my Nord Lead 3. I recently picked up a used Nord Electro, and use it with that as well. I use it for blues, rock, and the odd bit of electronica.
It's a relatively small, medium weight 100 watt 2-way amplifier (solid state - no tubes).
The amp is very flexible. It's able to do leads, basslines, or comps, and it's able to bring through the bite that the NL3 is capable of, as well as most of the sophistication.
The amp can get drowned out if your guitar player turns his amp up to 11 and really lays into it, but other than that it's capable of cutting through most of the time.
It has 3 channels, which is convenient -- I only use two at once. It has an effects loop that I don't happen to use. It has a line out that I don't use.
The amp has a built-in spring reverb. I believe the reverb is only active on some of the inputs. To notice it, you have to turn the amp up quite a bit, and play loud.

As indicated, I use the amp with a Nord Lead 3 and a Nord Electro 61 (keyboards).
I find the amp is very noisy if I turn up the "HIGH" knob past 30%. I've also found that I can keep the HIGH knob turned all the way down (0%) and still get acceptable highs. It seems like the LOW / HIGH knobs are just a sort of primative, poor-quality 2-band EQ. I suggest leaving these all the way down, and relying on another source for EQ if necessary. (NOTE: The LOW knob works without noise).
There's no built in distortion. If you distort the signal on your own, the amp will carry it through decently.

It has been solid, and my understanding of Yorkville is that they have a solid warranty, and stand by their products.

I have not dealt with Yorkville directly, but I did a good bit of research before purchasing this amp, everything I've read has been very positive.

I've been playing for about 5 years. This is my only amp.
This was a starter amp for me, so if it were stolen, I'm probably ready to upgrade to the next step. I really want a stereo set-up, so I'd think about a Motion Sound KP100S or KP200S, or perhaps a pair of JBL EON 10G2s.
However, since I already have the Yorkville, I will probably just purchase a second one for a stereo setup, as I haven't had any problems with it, and at gig volumes, it hasn't let me down.
When shopping for this amp, I compared it against the Motion Sound products (far too expensive at the time), a single JBL EON (pricey and with less flexible inputs), and the starter keyboard amps from competing companies (Roland, etc). I feel I did an adequate amount of research, and this one came out on top.
I highly recommend this amp as a starter keyboard amp that will have some longevity. However, if you can afford Barbettas and the like, this product isn't for you.

The is a powerfull amp with all the features it should have. All the other reviewers have already talk about it, so i'll let u read it.

Here's where i don't agree with all the other reviews. The sound in that amplifier is bad. There's a lot of noise in it, even when not playing. I use a Roland Fantom-S in it, and it sounds like shit. I brough it back to the store to get a refund. This amp is not build for sound quality. You should buy this if u need power and a portable solid amp, not if u want a good sound quality.

At first, i had bough a used one, and the twitter was already busted. I brough it back to the store and got a brand new model. It worked fine until i got bored of the sound and got my refund. I think it's built for reliabily if you use it correctly.

The store clerk told me that the amp came with the best warranty of the industry. You can trow it down the stairs and the compagny will repair it at no cost for the first two years. I didn't check out myself, but i trust him.

It's good for someone who need a portable powerfull amp and who doesn't care about the sound quality. There is way too much noise to play with a good quality keyboard.

I think this amp was built in 1997/98. I bought it used, because it is versatile, can handle keyboard, acoustic guitar (not optimally, but OK), vocals and even bass. Plus it has RCA inputs for stereo equipment like a CD player, invaluable for practise sessions. The amp has 3 chanells, CH 1 is XLR and jack inputs, CH 2 has a jack input plus the RCAs, while CH 3 is jack input only. Also has an effects loop, very useful.
Negatives - would have liked stereo, and Phantom power (48V). The reverb does not appear to work, or is very weak, and I would have liked separate tone controls for each channel. Power is excellent, nice top & bottom - in short, and excellent all-round combo.

Acoustics: 6-string steel (Takamine EG-341C), 6-string nylon (Yamaha APX-5NA), 12-string steel (Seagull M-12) all via LR Baggs Para-DI Eq. box. Electrics - Godin LG, Strat., Fender P-Bass. Music style is mostly 60's/70's rock, some light blues, clean guitar C&W, one/two man band act, very little overdrive or distortion. Play in small coffee-shop environment.

Dependability is this amp's biggest feature. It has been absolutely reliable, durable, strong as a brick outhouse. I never take care of it, and it even looks OK - the only thing that has happened is that the front grill has rusted a bit, which a coat of paint could fix. reverb does not work - or is just bad reverb - I never use it anyway, as I have a Boss RV-3 pedal for that. Replacement parts for the reverb are even cheap.

Yorkville were great. I was missing an owner's manual, they mailed it free of charge. They helped me find the spare part I needed (for the Reverb) although I never did fix that. This one is long out of warranty, but Yorkville is 100% customer oriented. Great support ...

I've been playing for 30 years. See above list of guitars, also own several mics, had a Peavey Chorus before this one. I would definitely buy this amp again. I hate the fact that it does not have phantom power, but I manage without it.

This is a keyboard/mixer amp so it is versatile. It will take my guitar and my bass. I play stuff from the last fifty years of pop....specificly, blues based rock, surf/eastern-stuff-from-Greece-to-India, hip-hop, industrial.
This amp has three channels, each with a line input. Also channel one has a balanced mic input, and channel two has phono plugs for a cd player. It has reverb, but its sort of weak and IMO. It has an effects loop, but it doesn't do much good for guitar and bass. One might aswell put the effects before the input. It also has a headphone jack.
I like to be able to switch effects alot so I wish it had a foot pedal for the reverb and effects loop. I also wish it had 7-band EQ instead fo 2-band.
I'm not sure if I'll ever use all the inputs but there nice to have. Distortion would also be nice, but then again everybody and his mother has distortion.
I just got this amp today, so this is a very preliminary write up. I just wanted an amp that I could use for guitar and bass and was loud enough to keep up with a drummer in a jam type situation while playing clean.

I have a Fender Roudhouse Strat, with 3 Texas Special Pickups. It suits ok. IMO Strats are relatively cheap. I play experimental stuff. I'm studying Nine Inch Nails, Missy Elliot, Neptunes/NERD. My technical skills are based mostly on the work of Hendrix and Dick Dale.
This amp is transparent. It has no distortion. Little character if any.
Many purists tell me it will not sound as good with guitar as a guitar amp and with bass not as good as a bass amp. Like hell it won't.

I've been playing like hell for five years. At $350 it seems like the best amp. I'd like some tube overdrive....Its wasn't suppose to be cheaper than the Roland KC-300, but it was.

Looking for dynamite sound in a lightweight bass combo for small-to-medium size gigs, or practice? This compact 47lb. gem is easy on the back no matter where you have to haul it. Although designed for the keyboardist in mind it produces surprisingly clean bass from a solid bottom-end on through the uppermost frets on the 'G' string given a good bass axe. The controls are simple...bass, treble, and reverb. with a volume pot for each of the three channels.
Note: reverb was designed into this unit for effect, since this was really supposed to be a keyboard amp. The absence of a mid-range control takes nothing away from the sound, especially when using a bass with active electronics. If you like the funk "slap" and "pop" sound, this will do nicely as well as going deep and mellow with the proper amp and axe settings.
The amp has XLR/mic, effects loop, tuner, headphone, and CD inputs, making it an attractive choice as a practice amp.
I do contemporary Christian, blues rock, jazz, and some alternative. If you don't want to bust your hump carrying heavy equipment doing modest-size gigs, but want an approach to the sound quality of your 100+lb cabinets at reasonably lower sound pressure levels, you have to love using this compact gem. Has enough sound control for me for what I do, but hey, may be a different story where you're concerned especially if you love nothing short of thumping away.

I use an Ibanez SR400 with P/J pickups, and a Fender P (American), with humbucker, but favor the more versatile active SR400 for use with the 100KB.
Has a built in limiter, but never played abusively loud to rattle the speaker cone to check that element out. The KB100 has an optimized 12" Eminence speaker plus tweeter.
There's also a "piano contour" button located in the channel I bloc, but I find this feature appropriate for keyboard, not bass, because of the ultra treble produced for keyboard intonation. If you're into slammin' heavy rock and metal, the KB100 is NOT for you. If you're a finesse' player doing clean basslines with character and moderate drive, this may be one of your better investment decisions.

This baby takes a lot of tossing about and playing at levels in excess of 6 on the volume pot. So far, a very dependable combo, good looking too, and with a well installed black carpet covering. Backup? Nah. Yorkville's
rep for 'step above' electronic quality and cabinet ruggedness takes care of that item.

Bought the KB100 from a Yorkville dealer who services the Yorkville line, and along with Yorkville's standard 2-yr. guarantee, (even if you drop it), I'm not concerned.
Yorkville kinda reminds me of the Maytag outfit with its lonely service technicians. I did have occassion to contact Yorkville directly regarding speaker T/params for the KB100, and was given an immediate and courteous response.
Not many can can boast of this kind of service these days.

Been playing bass guitar and keyboard for over 30 yrs. and just resumed playing following a 10 yr.lay off during which time I sold all my equipment except for my Fender P. Trying out a name I wasn't familiar with, (Yorkville), was one of the better moves I've made in the music business. Aside from the 100KB I purchased a year ago, I've just added the XM200 BassMaster for the larger gigs. (see my review here on Harmony Central's Yorkville link). The price of the Yorkville combos are VERY reasonable for their overall quality, ruggedness, and excellent sound quality.
