Features are light, but adequate for the most part. It would be nice if it had a direct out. I use the Send as a direct out because I don't need the effects loop and that works, but it's less than ideal. Just a two-band master EQ.
The best feature is the form factor -- 10" neodymium woofer and tweeter in a 24 lb sealed cabinet. I think this is one of the best, most versatile pieces of sound equipment available on the market. I've used it as a mini PA system, as an electric guitar amp (with modelling systems), as a vocal monitor in a larger PA (many gigs) -- even as a practice amp for my Fender bass!

Incredibly quiet. I'm very sensitive to extraneous noise and this thing is like a studio monitor. It's very clean, very flat (doesn't color the sound) and very quiet. My new guitar synth sounds great through this thing.
The only problem I've had is a little feedback when using it as a vocal monitor. I usually have to work with position, volume and the treble control, but I will say as a vocal monitor it seems more susceptible to feedback than other similar products. In fact I did a direct A/B comparison with a JBL EON-10 G2 and it was much louder with no feedback when placed on the floor facing the singer (sort of the classic stage monitor position) so take that for what it's worth.

Unbelievably tough. Now I don't abuse my equipment, but I leave this thing in the trunk of my car, sometimes for weeks at a time. I've carried it in the rain uncovered (it was a light rain and I let it dry for a couple of hours before turning it on, but still). I've used it for all manner of gigs, large and small, and this thing is always reliable and consistent. I highly recommend it.

I can't believe the knucklehead below who says he never contacted Yorkville customer support and then gives them a 6 rating? So since I also have never contacted them, I'm going to give this category a 10 rating to balance out that other idiot. The fact that I've had this amp at least 5 years (kinda can't remember to be honest, but I think it's been that long) and never needed them should qualify for a high rating!

This is one of the handiest, most useful amps I've ever owned. There will never be a time I don't need this amp. I've found uses for it in literally every gig I've played for the past few years. If you're thinking about getting one of these, don't hesitate. The price has gone up (I got mine for $250 new, they're going for $350 as of this writing), but it's still a bargain. Lightweight, decent power, good sound -- it's my swiss army knife amp!

I bought this keyboard/power amp combo for two main purposes: as a stage monitor for vocals/guitar when doing gigs and at home to serve as a monitor for practicing guitar using a POD XT Live.
It features a mini-mixer with two-channels, a basic eq (treble/bass controls), XLR, 1/4 and RCA inputs, a 10 in speaker plus a tweeter. It delivers 50 watts of power. At home and on stage, I rarely put it past 5, unless I would start to destroy my ears. However, it would be insufficient for medium to large venues or when playing outside. The XLR input carries phantom power, so it's suitable for microphones requiring such power. Of course, it only has a power amp stage, so I would not recommend directly pluging a guitar or bass. But with an amp modeler like the POD, it is perfect since it does not color the sound.

No distortion or sound coloring whatsoever. As quiet as what you run into the inputs. If I put the output level of my POD to the max, I cannot detect any noise added by the amp directly. However, it only has a 10 in, so do not expect extremely present bass. For guitar and vocals, though, which have mainly mids and highs, it is perfect. I am using with my POD with patches that go from country-style trem/telecaster to heavy distorted sounds a la Nirvana or Green Day and it suits all the spectrum well.

I've been carrying this over for a year, without any backup (as a monitor) but I take great care of my stuff, so it's hard to say if it would survive dropping it from the second floor. However, it looks well built, but it's not a tank.

I am a hobbyist guitarist, but I have enough experience in live sound to tell you that this unit is well worth the price. Yorkville also makes a 100 watt version of this amp, which (I think) has a 12 or 15 inch in it. So if you want more presence on the low side, think about the 100 watt version. However, for me, the 50 watt was way enough and it does a great job, considering the size/weight (I have to transport it all the time so I appreciate those aspects).

This amp was made a few years ago and is still being made. Basically, it is a Acoustic/keyboard/vocal amp.Look ta it like a mini PA all in one unit. I bought it for a vocal spot I had in a band. The band flaked-out so it becamemy acoustic amp and my home stereo set-up. Sure I could have used anything else but it sounded killer.
Housed within it is a 10inch speaker and a tweeter. Very very usefull. Sure it'smono but the sound is there. Very warmsounding without being tube. Yorkville did a great job on this amp.It had enough power for me as I wasn't playing for big big crowds. I played at home, for studio work, and jams at friends. It's solid state but with that tube groove.

Yes,it sounds good. The speaker doesn't distort unless itis really pushed with low end bass frequencies. Not noisy. What goes incomes out but with more warmth.

It has worked perfectly for as long as I have had it. Yes,I traded it awayon a deal that wouldn't come again. Right now it is at Kelowna Guitarworks(in Kelowna, B.C., Canada) in the cedar acoustic guitar room. If you are looking for this amp for a sweet deal then go there. I did the tradeonly a few days ago.

I really don't know. The warrantee is I think 2 years. Lots of Yorkville dealers so no problem getting the amp fixed. I'll rate this part a 6 as I have never needed warrantee service.

If you want an all in one amp that actually sounds good and will last, then look no further. If you are in Kelowna or area, check out Kelowna Guitarworks and talk to Kurt Phillips(owner and guitarist of Witchkiller and Warhag fame). He'll hook you up with tone.
Great gear!
