This is a Traynor BLOC 50G, nice little SS amp. It has some nice features, dual input jacks, some other jack's for various things (line out, speaker, etc) It must be at the very least about 22 years old. Sometimes the older the better, It has a nice reverb setting, the overdrive isn't too bad either.

I currently use a Fender Mexi/lefty strat through it as well as a 76' Magnum Les Paul. The Fender sounds much better through it. I play heavy metal and alternative/ambient noise and it makes a great amp for that purpose. I run both a Boss DD-3 Digital Delay and a Boss Blues Driver through it, (Blues Driver as opposed to the amp's normal distortion) and its sounds great, no complaints.

It is a very sturdy little amp, good shape. I trust it, its old and I likely wouldn't gig with it simply for that cause. But It makes a great studio amp.

Traynor has always been good to me as I own a Custom Valve 40 tube amp as well. I think this amp is a bit old if anything happend to it though hah.

I really like the amp. For it being probably the oldest amp I've had. It's good quality, size, and sound at an affordable price.

I have just purchased a used traynor version of the Yorkville bloc 50G, which is the same thing, but this on is even older...the circuit board is stamped May 14, 1986. For a 19 year old amp, I am very impressed with the condition it's in...almost new.
Features:
-2 channel switchable
-reverb (sounds good)
-tons of power a tiny box
-I am a tube man, but for a SS amp, it's impressive

Using mostly with a strat with stock sihgle-coil pickups. When I got it, all of the pots were so dirty that there was just an aweful noise coming out of it. I cleaned out the pots, and now it's perfect...no noise and plenty of balls. The variety of sounds is somewhat limited considering what is available now, but as a practice/club amplifier, it fits the bill. Clean is clean, but the distortion sounds a little ugly. Oh well, that's what pedals are for :)

This beast has been around for 20 years and all of the parts are in good shape, and after a cleaning, it looked brand new. Aside from the scratchy pots, which will happen if you leave an amp in your garage for a long time. It seems like a workhorse, which fits with the reputation of Yorkville/Traynor gear.

I have played for 7 years. I also own a Dean Markley K50 and a CRATE Vintage Club 50 amplifier for various applications. If this amp got stolen, I would laugh becasue I only paid 5 bucks for it ! I love that it has so much power, but is not as heavy as an all-tube 50 watt 3x10 combo like the Vintage Club. I did not really 'comparison shop' this one 'cause the price was right...but given a choice, I would probablt buy a Roland Cube with built-in effects. The only thing I wish this amp had was an awesome-sounding built in distortion. I'd just like to share that guitar playing is the ONLY WAY!

play a Epi Les paul studio qith Gibson pick ups, great sound. Rock, metal, lighter stuff too. No noise at all. For clean it's perfect. I don't use the distortion on it, sounds too crappy. The clean channel does get a hiss when the master volume goes to 9 or 10, but only when the gain is pass 7... so it's great. This hiss isn't even that bad...

It's great, had it for 6 months, thought of keeping it until i got a marshall or Line 6, but it's great. For 90$, I'm so suprised... it's almost as if they forgot a number and it was 190 $ ! Used gear can be fun, if you test it before you buy it... I don't think they do any new ones of these, didn't find any on the Yorksvile site, but if you find a used, check it out. Traynor is very good quality.
