18 watts, 8" speaker, 20 presets, 10 user presets, you know the deal, loved the built in tuner!!!

Sound Quality : 10
I tried this out at the Adelaide Guitar Expo and in the first five minutes it blew me away! Just try the seven string preset, massive sound, attack and response, especially at low frequencies. I use this mainly for guitar lessons, but plugged into my fender 212 it get's an even better sound. I really like the acoustic emulator aswell, but there is a drop off in volume when you change from a normal patch, but I think it's just cos the speaker is tuned for the distortion amp sounds and once you go through a PA or separate speaker sound it gets better. I usually have my Ty Tabor signature model tuned to standard and my superstrat tuned to C for In Flames/downtuned stuff. Best sounds are B9, bogner preamp into soldano 100 and A2, steve morse style country rock distortion, nails the 'Stressfest' sound.

Reliability : 10
It seems very solid and well made, I would gig without a backup

1 year warranty, HOPE I won't be needing that!

I've played all the Line 6 gear and to be honest they sound really thin. Zoom know their product inside and out and use every trick in the software processing to get the most from the amp. It even tells you in the manual how to fatten up your own sounds, to get them to sound bigger, even without things like quad box emulation. To me, for the price and everything, it's an amazing package, only competition for it being the Crate glx 15. I wish it had footswitchable channels, but I'll live just randomly poking it in the meantime when I need a channel change!!

Modeling combo with an 8" speaker
18 watts

I have used Zoom products since the 505 Pedal came out.Since I have used zoom products for so long dialing and storing the right sounds is a piece of cake for me.The manual describes how to do this.Changing the stock patches to suit your guitar is the most important thing you can do with this amp or all zoom products for that matter.I play everything from Blues to Sabbath and the amp can do it all.I am giving it a 10 in this category because the amount of versatility for the price of a good stompbox is an incredible deal. The amp is pretty loud for only 18 watts and I can use the recording/phones jack to run to a PA system, thing can play anywhere.I don't know if ZOOM changed the stock speaker on this unit from the Fire 15 but to me it sounds excellent. The clean sound with the reverbs/delays is very nice. The amp sounds virtually the same with either my Les Paul or my Fender strat.(except for the different tonal characteristics of course).

Reliability : 10
Never had a problem with any previous ZOOM products.

No problems so I never had to call/e-mail them.

I have been playing for about 30 years now.I have owned many different kind of practice amps and effects such as Ibanez Tube screamers/delays,Crybaby wah wah.If I wanted to get these sounds from my Marshall Lead 12 or Marshall AVT20 (which I have both sold by the way)I would have to buy a bunch of stomp boxes. With this ZOOM amp all I need is my crybaby wah.Turn on and go,no more plugging 13 different things in to get the sound I want.Remember as I said before you have to change the stock patches(they are the perfect starting point) to get excellent sounding patches that you can store and from then on they are there at the push of 1 button.I can now easily bring my stuff where I want and get an excellent sound.I don't know why so many people complain about ZOOM products,I think it is because they don't take the time to set them up properly. The quality of effects is very good in my opinion.I bought a Line 6 spider 2 30 watt amp from a local dealer and when I returned it,I told the guy that the ZOOM blows it away. The guy said "I find that hard to believe".Well believe it because it is like night and day.REMEMBER PROGRAM IT TO YOU LIKING.
