ive brrn playing guitar 4 9 years i bought a accolade accostic 4 $5.00 from a freind and he had drawn all over it.it was not a good guitar but i thought id make it a project to fix it up.took every thing off of it exept the neck.i sanded it all down to the wood.it had a major bow on the top so i put the bridge back on and wood glued it and put the skrews in and clamped it with a board across the bridge. that eventually took care of the major bow.then i had my grandma paint it pink with butterflys on it.then i put it back togather and put electric guitar strings on it and fully tuned it. then i adjusted the neck with the truss rod to a straiter position.then it looked a lot better. then i gave it to my three year old sister!

It was a 1999 Accolade Western Folk guitar.Made in China. With 21 frets. It was a laminate top. It had to be made out of plywood. It had a maple neck and a hardwood body, adjustable bridge saddle, and steel strings. It came with a cheap gig bag(the zipper broke), cheap strap, generic strings, a pitch pipe?, generic pick, and the worst instruction booklet.

Sound : 2
It made the worst sound ever. I had to adjust the bridge out the box. This guitar sucked when it came to chord playing. It was better for single note playing but not by much. Fret buzz up and down the neck. I switched the steel strings for nylon to minimize the buzz.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 1
The pickguard started peeling of after about a week. So i yanked it off and the glue underneath was black. I tried using everything to get it off with no sucess. Like i said before i had to adjust the bridge.
The tuning peg for the low e fell off, it just fell off. And there was sawdust all over the inside of the soundhole.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
This guitar would not have withstood playing it on stage. I don't know how long the finish would have lasted.

Didn't wanna try to deal with them.

I have benn playing for 2 years. I finally was convinced by my cousin to buy an acoustic. I bought this one cause it was cheap. I was starting to get used to it, and one morning i woke up to play and it was horribly out of tune. This was not rare. When i tried to tune it would lose tune in minutes(as soon as i played the string). I had enough I smashed it. That was the best sound this guitar ever made, seriously. Buy a Sigma Martin TB-1, i did and it is great. But if i did see this guitar in a pawnshop for like 10 bucks i'd buy it, for sentimental purposes.
