Here's the scoop. I have bought four agiles in the last five years. A gold top w/ p 90's, two sunbursts ( a cherry a tabbacco) and now this wide model in 2TS ( which is really a tabbacco sunburst. All the guitars have been very nice and very playable. I love taking a cheaper guitars and getting the most out of them sound wise, and these things are it, as far as les paul copies go. I've asked kurt two or three times about wider neck models and evidently so have a few others because they started making them a couple years ago, but now they are finaly in the 2000 line also. This is good. My new 2000 wide is just what I've been waiting for. The wide neck, the color , the price!!! The week spot on all the agiles seems to be their pickups. Its a craps shoot. Of the three humbucker models I've had no two sounded alike. The last one had very week pups in it so I put in a set of gfs 59's ( which were warmer but also pretty lame. My new wide model has better sounding pups ,good bight on the attack and not too muddy... but I am going to change the out. If your playing mello blues they would do fine but I play through all old vintage amps (gibson skylark, 50's ampeg rocket) and these pick ups dont push the amps enough to get the sound i want. also when they are played maxed out , the definition gets lost and the treble is a bit harsh. But dont let that stop you from getting one. This is THE best bang for your buck guitar . period! Anyway, you can put a pair of the very best pickups money can buy in it and you will have about the cost of a chinese epiphone deluxe.

Great! These are 200 bucks so be ready to do a little work.....but not much. The nut on this guitar was very high so a little filling and its awesome. The intonation was very close and only needed a little tweeking. The frets are wonderful, as have been every one of my agiles so far. The finish is exactly what I wanted. Its a 2ts and in the pics online it looks like it fades to black around the edges but it actually fades to a deep brownish red and you can see the flame all the way to the binding in the darker areas. Very nice. There was one small spot on the back of the neck that the finish (globed up) . It was about the size of a pencil eraser and with a little razor scrapping was taken care of quickly. Other than that there was nothing worth mentioning. These really are super guitars for the money.

Like I said I have owned four of these agiles and I have to say they are every bit as good as any guitar that sells for twice the price. Great tuners, good hardware, solid, ...Whats not to love. I havent giged for years but I played over 100 shows back in the day, I would take a back up guitar but only for string breakage, not because I feel the agile would would have any problems. They are solid as any axe.

Bought an sx from kurt once that I didnt like and sent it back for a full refund. i would say their customer service is great! I have emailed kurt and got responses back very fast. I talked with him on the phone 5 years ago and he was very helpful. I also asked for a wide neck model before they had one and now they do......customer service??????....These guys are the best I've ever delt with. AAAAA++++++

I have been playing 20 years, recorded three albums, have owned 50 or so guitars. I used to play a gibson Les Paul studio and it was no better than this agile. Better pickups maybe. If these were $700.00 I might get a used gibson instead (think resale) but for 200.00 there is NO way I would buy anything else. The only thing I've wanted from agile in the past was a wider neck and a nice tobacco sunburst....and now i've got just that. And seeing as how I asked for it , its kind of like my signature model HA. Come on folks there's hundreds of reviews on these things and most of them are rave reviews. If your going to get your kids a good guitar to learn on don't buy those wal mart pieces of crap, spent a couple extra bucks and get them an Agile AL 2000 . They can play it until they have a gold record on the wall and not outgrow it. And if you own a $3000.00 PRS Leave it at home, so some drunk doesn't walk off with it between sets. The only thing this Al 2000 wide needs is a twin sister.............maybe one in Honey sunburst. P.S. I live in Alaska and get gauged on shipping ($88.00 ups) and that still doesn't bother me.

I own 2. The Gold Top and a White one. They both have laminated tops made of maple. They have the classic 3-way switch like all LP's do. They have stock passive pic-ups that are warm but will scream. They have an amazing finish, very glossy. They have a stock Tune-O-Matic bridge. They have stock Grover tuners.

These guitars can be used for Rock and Heavy metal

I got this guitar in goldtop finish, great looking, has bindings from the body to the neck, 3-way switch(rhythm/middle/treble), two humbuckers, grover die cast tuners that don't detune great for gigs, set-in maple neck with rosewood fretboard and trapezodial inlays.

This guitar is totaly better than an epiphone, epiphone looks like toys.

Sound : 9
The stock humbuckers sounds great runing on my marshall, I think the humbuckers could be very compared to original gibson but downgraded, but the sound is blasting..

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Mhmm the action is low, and fits good for me.

Reliability/Durability : 9
I had played with it at many gigs and it has been a good kid xD.

Customer Support : No Opinion
No idea!

Overall Rating : 9
This guitar is great in looking, sounding, and many more things, and the price is great, but is you can afford a gibson, then you can buy many many of these.

Grover tuners mahogany wood, maple top, trapezoid inlays

I got mine off ebay and it already had a Gibson pickup installed in the neck position and sounded great. Even the stock pickup sounded great running it through a marshall half stack w/ a crybaby wah.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
With some minor adjusting mine was fine.

Reliability/Durability : 8
I will definatley gig with this guitar. Everything seems solid and should last for ages.

Haven't dealt w/ the co.

I've been playing for 12 yrs and own 2 Gibson les pauls and this guitar can hold up pretty well in comparison. I feel that this guitar is better than the Epiphone les pauls that i have played. Its not quite up to Gibson standards, but for the money Its a great deal. If this guitar were stolen I would get another.
